  • sehr sehr schön gemacht!!!!

  • Nice cover. Check mine too.

  • Hi Ernst,

I've been researching thus tune with an idea to learn it and the TAB I had didn't seem right when I listened to The Shadows and so I came to you, 'the source' on YT. As usual your ears have got it absolutely spot on and what a wonderful recording you have made. Big TU from me!

The slides and bends in the middle section sound great.

How far is the E string tuned down?

Keep up the good work and take good care of yourself :-)

    Phil.

  • 10/10 tallent lovely cover

  • Nice playing! Where did you get backingtrack?

  • Wow! Even though you never had watched Miami Vice you did this classic song a BIG honor. I'm going to learn this one myself, since i'm a huge Miami Vice fan so it would be damn cool to learn this one :) Tell me, did you start watch Miami Vice after you learned "Crockett's Theme"? :D

  • @DonCrockett

Hi , thanks for your kind comment. Miamy Vice was not shown here on TV in Germany the last years. May be I have a look when they put it on again.

    regards, Ernst

  • @BurnsErnst If you liked this song take a look at "voices" by Russ Ballard : D

  • I never watched the series much either but always liked the song and when The Shadows covered it on their Reflection album it became one of their own! Great playing again as always!

  • You just made this song 10X cooler!

  • never heard this one before either (don't watch much TV) ... very nice melody and playing as usual! I bet you could find some James Last (or similar) instrumentals that would lend themselves well to your style. Regards.

  • Hi Ernst,

Nice work! Jan Hammer meets Hank B. Marvin.

I really like how you take popular songs and give them a Shadows style flavour of your own.

    Regards,

    Marc

  • Hi Ernst was soll man da nun wieder sagen?

Du warst wieder mal einsame spitze, ist es schlimm wenn ich das auch versuche wieder mal von dir zu covern? Deine versionen sind immer super! Es macht immer spaß dir zu zuhören! LG Alexander =o)

  • Greetings, Ernst !

In the States in the mid to late 1980's, Jan Hammer's "Miami Vice" soundtrack was all over the radio, and when I heard the Shads' version of this tune, it was a nice change of pace...

The choice of the Burns is interesting, as the 80's techno BT combines with the 1960's tone for what I like to call a "nouveau classic" sound...it works really well.

As always, I really enjoy your postings...always entertaining.

    Regards, Dan.

  • Once again you've achieved a brilliant recording! I recorded a keyboard cover myself a couple of years ago since I adore this genre of electronic synthesizer music! Warm Winter Wishes for this weekend:) DeniseX
