Someone please explain the rules to me on getting out of the way of your opponent after making your shot. This video shows the big guy time and time again standing in the way of the other dude, making it impossible to run over to the ball. Is that legal?

@decadyne Yes. From Rule 4.7B.1 of the official one-wall handball rules: "Standing still. If a player attempting to play a ball is interfered with by an opponent, who, after his side has played the ball, was perfectly still in front of or aside the player, it is NOT a hinder. This "legal" hinder is the essence of the one-wall game."

So, after making your own shot, if you sense you're in the vicinity of the other player's ability to play the ball, your job is to stay completely still until he/she hits the return? Would that be correct?

@decadyne Yes, but if you move, the only penalty is that there is a "do-over." So if a ball you or your partner just hit is about to hit you, you've got to move. In any other situation, it's in your best interest to stay still.

@slayer1817 Just show up at a handball court and if there are people playing, you can talk to them about rotating into a game.. Either that or go to a wall and begin playing, very often others will show up and offer to play you. You should make sure you know how to play before doing this though.

this is nothing. i play in ct with my friends when its 10 degrees out. for example today i played, and it was 12 degrees. and if u get shut out u have to run a naked mile around the track (its really only one lap, and in boxers lol)

We used to have a sick court in port jefferson station out on long island, but there was to much drugs being sold behind it and shit, they ripped it down a few years back.

Theres a college mad close we just drive there and play on the racquetball courts in that shit.
