I was certain this man was guilty, and still won't be surprised if in court he is proven to be just that. That said, what he starts to say at 4:45 makes sense to me. If I were wrongfully accused, I'd do the same. If, on the other hand, I were a professional baseball player who knew he had tested positive for steroids and was then asked about it, I'd say, "you'll have to talk to the players' union" and then hide out all weekend. Between Blago and A-Rod, Blago seems less guilty.

Dave doesn't get it. Should the criminal trial prove Rod innocent, it would demonstrate the impeachment wasn't credible. However he would not be reinstated in office, and his reputation would still be permanently tarnished. Morally, the trial should precede the removal of office, what else would the grounds be? He is being removed by accusations that he can't defend for a year and a half. Would any of you call that fair or due process?
