@chinghxd Nastia's also 2 years older than Shawn though, so has less of a chance of getting back successfully. What I mean by that she got right back was that she was competing in national and international competitions within a shortish time of the Olypics, whereas Shawn took nearly two years off. Regardless, hopefully she'll be able to get back in time for the London Games and be successful.

Sure she will lose muscle mass and will become less toned and she might gain some fat, but the muscle will not become fat.

It's pretty funny how much she's changed. It seems there's two routes she could've chosen- the one Nastia took where you go right back to training, or the one she took where you make lots of money. Not saying either ones right, but it seems crazy she's trying to go back now. Especially since my friend's sister goes to the same gym as her and used to see her practicing all the time but now she's barely ever there.

@jjones971 the real reason she hasn't been training is she blew out her knee skiing and needed surgery. Also she is back but i'm not sure if her or Nastia is going to the olympics again. I haven't seen either of them in a recent competitions so i'm not sure. But nastia also is making lots of money, she has her own clothing line and leotard line

@blondegirlnicole Not to burst your bubble, but if you are planning on competing you should have started at around 4. Most female gymnasts stop competing by 21 because of the lack of flexibility. But I could be wrong so do what makes you happy.

I was always jealous of the cheerleaders and gymnasts in school. They are all short and it makes them awesome gymnasts. She is so sweet though. Check out her DANCING WITH THE STARS.... she won the competition this year~ She was GREAT! Very talented.

Elite gymnasts cant be "curvy" as you call it and soar through the air performing death defying flips. also, working out 40 hours a week (something your fatass should try) usually delays puberty, hence why high-level gymnasts are so tiny.
