  • i like this guy lol :D

  • Loved the commentary. Mostly agreed with the companions comments, but I hated Ace (but I love the actress so figure that out). And now that we are 2 years in to Matt Smith's era, I think we are in some of the best times EVER for Doctor Who. I love both Amy and Rory, am in love myself with River, and Matt's Doctor is simply brilliant. Been a fan for years and have every single episode (including the reconstructions)......anyway, great post!

  • @stylites121370 thanks, mate! More to come!

  • You have one bloody good veiw of doctor who - well done sir

I wish I had friends like yours who could get me every episode of the classic doctor who - I cant afford the new series never mind all the old ones

  • Sir...You stole the word right out of my mouth, spoken like a true gentleman

  • a true dr who fan!

  • great video mate, really nice

  • you're a true fan. but i assume you already know that.

  • doctor who is the best sci fi show on the planet, i love this show with all my heart.

  • God Rest Lis.

  • just found out elisabeth sladen/ sarah jane. has just died of cancer r.i.p.

  • Brilliantly said. We are all his companions, because he is the Doctor, and he is a splendid man. All of him :)

  • 7) The Tomorrow People this was Dr Who created by Terry Nation for the younger audience. Expect bad hair cuts, flares and kipper ties. These episodes have dramatic endings in a similar vein to Dr Who made at the same time as Pertwee was Doctor. The ethics and premise are the same as Doctor Who. My son loved this when he was young. I recommend this to all fans of early Doctor Who. Terry Nation also created Survivors and he scripted Day of the Triffids I believe, not to sure about that one.

  • There was a documentary about the Game show host Bob Monkhouse last week. Why is this relevant you ask? Well, he recorded thousands of early TV shows and soundtracks; including missing episodes of Dudley Moore and Peter Cooke. Lost for many years presumed forever. It might be possible that he recorded missing episodes of William Hartnell and Patric Troughton. I hope this turns out to be true, there is a strong possibility but there are thousands of home made 8mm to sift through. Pray Dr Who Fans

  • 6) The Day of the Triffids 1970s this was brilliant again in a post apocalyptic world where the world has gone blind evil plants begin to dominate the world and live of the dead and the living. This is one man's journey through his struggle to survive. Very Doctor Who in its outlook as if in the same vein as Who3 &4 they have also remade this recently, it reminds me of the remake of survivors I recommend them both. Again the BBC never made the next book into a 2nd series...typical

  • 5) Survivors the new series. In a post apocalyptic world only those of a certain blood group have survived, the band together to survive Britain without law and order. Others out to murder and enslave them. Very fast paced dark and well characterised. This series is shockingly real but Just like the Tripods though the BBC cancelled the last season. Still the best hard hitting drama.

  • 4) Misfits. I don't know whether this sci-fi or not. a bunch of delinquents that have put on probation are hit by lightening from a strange weird cloud covering London. These Misfits end up gaining super powers. So do others in London. The Misfits end up killing their probation worker that has been turned into a crazed axe murderer by the storm, basically they end up killing a bunch of people. Sick twisted weird. I do not know what to make of this show 5 Stars.

  • 3) Red Dwarf No Doctor who fan can tell me they don't love this. Bums in space. Its premise rips on Doctor who. It is cynical through comedy. Best episodes are Backwards and Inquisitor. This is the ani science fiction show...timeless. "Smoke me a Kipper I'll be back for breakfast."

  • @PedalSteelKing thanks, man! i'll check them out of netflix, the tripods sounds cool and I know primeval is on scifi channel here and also on netflix. i'm pretty sure i watched a few eps of red dwarf in college but i was probably high and don't remember any of it except that it was funny. but when you're high, everything is funny!

  • 2) Primeval. Rips in time that look like shattered crystal balls appear all over Britain. Prehistoric animals come though most of them dangerous. A team of amatures tries to find out why. This is fast paced consistent. Even faster paced than Tennant's Doctor Who...1st class!

  • I love your enthusiasm Tricklestone so here are some more Britsh shows you might like to watch and review. You can see them all on Youtube before you decide to buy any.

    1) The Tripods. Directed by same director as Who 3. Giant Tripods roam the earth looking down on capped who have been subjugated humanity and turned present day back to medieval times. 3 young men make a dangerous journey to the White Mountains in search of the free men. It ambles at times, but own fav next to Star Trek.

  • Star Trek Meets Doctor Who film what do you think?

  • @PedalSteelKing I'll be watching the Peter Cushing after the series. I thought Tennant was cool, I just like to watch him act. I will always be sore about Eccleston. That man is amazing to watch and it pissed me off to no end that we only got one season of him.

  • Technically there were 12 because of Peter Cushing. David Tennant wasn't a real Doctor only a woman's heart throb with sickly childish story lines. Doctor who died after Tom Baker all the rest were fill ins although Matt Smith has taken it back to something like it was with the earliest Doctor Who. Now I watch...no K9 though. "Affirmative Master" although he has his own show but its that early in the morning I miss it.

  • So right, as I go through these a 2nd time I appreciate so much more the things I didn't the 1st time.

  • I loved all the Doctors and the companions! I loved every second of Doctor Who. I love it despite it's 'flaws'. At first I didn't like Tegan because of her whining, but I eventually got used to it. I came to love her arguements with the Doctor. They quarreled like an old married couple and it would make me laugh. I don't think anyone could ever get used to the sound of Mel's voice, but from what I remember she was nice.

  • i bet you havnt seen Power of the Daleks LOL

  • Wow, nice vid.

  • Very good vid:) Every actor brought something unique to the series and for the series. And I would get into to the Tardis by no matter which Doctor would appear. But if it could be McCoy...I would run inside like the wind! Because he's my favourite!

  • Cool vid mate.

  • Well said.

  • He probably should have sent Adric away!

  • @borgduck I was soooo guilt struck when Adric perished!

  • @Tricklestone And yet I popped a cork of champagne!

  • @borgduck "Earth Shock" was a sad story line it showed the humility of Peter Davidson who I did not like before, and then again in "Caves of Androzani" Peter Davidson reminds me of David Tennant except he is less smug and the story lines more poignant. Very sad when Davidson left looking back Davidson had the best story's. Visitation, Earth Shock and Caves of Androzani. But Doctor Who died for me when Tom Baker changed this harmed the series and viewers stopped watching. No one but Tome Baker.

  • have you ever seen tomb of the cybermen???

  • @pelamar121 I've seen them all! Twice now!

  • @Tricklestone wow ive been collecting the dvds for 5 years and i havent got them all mind u i am on 12 year olds wage if you know what i mean!

  • @pelamar121 My friend got me into Doctor Who and he has every story either on VHS or DVD. He gets them as they are released. Enjoy the show, there is a lot of really good sci fi there.

  • @Tricklestone yes enjoy it thats true im actully a dr who fanatic and have been ever since i was 4 and im part of a joint channel called the whovians you should check it out

  • @pelamar121 why that story? yes it was lost but it was refound like in 2003 and released so he definently has seen them all (the lost ones well he probably hasn't just like most who fans)

  • i can see you are a true fan how did you first discover Dr Who and i agree al the Dr's are great they are the doctor but each brings something to the charator of the Dr forgive the spelling

  • @kevinkards1 My good friend was a fan from way back and when the new series started with Chris Eccleston I got into it immediately. By the time we get to the Master in the new series I was tired of asking what was that, and what did that mean?

So, with his help I watched every one of them from Hartnell to the present. Then I decided to watch them again and this time, review them and the reviews turned into this!

I agree, every Doctor is special to someone.

  • Matt Smith has impressed me more than I had expected from the early promos. I heard he didn't like the costume they had intended for him and insisted on one modeled after Patrick Troughton's Doctor. Oh, if only Colin Baker could have done something like that!

  • Awsome video

    Are you American?

And plus if you are (I'm scottish) I think it wonderful that instaid of you guys waiting till september to see episode 1 you get to watch them 2 weeks later :D

  • Very good review. I'm always glad to see new fans embrace the whole series of Dr. Who all the way back to William Hartnell. My Favorite Doctor: Jon Pertwee, my favorite companions: Jamie and Zoe. Glad to meet another Doctor Who fan and I love the 11th Doctor! By the by I subscribed.

  • @stormgateproductions He's doing a great job, I think! And Amy is adorable.

  • I cannot help but agree. I too was guilty of the Matt Smith whaa Craze, and I caught the Eleventh hour two days ago. I wasn't blown away like the others, but A) it was his first Episode, and B) this is the first episode that Rusel T. Davies has not been involved with. But what I did see was a wealth of potential. I think Matt Smith will have to grow into his TARDIS, but I have a feeling that he will rather quickly!

Thanks for posting, my good man!

  • on Saturday April 17th around 9pm east coast time look in the sky for a blue box !

  • THE 11TH DOCTOR IS GODLY!

  • Romana II was one of the best companions......Turlough was an asshole...right up there wiv Dildo, Adric, Teegan, Mel and Peri (although she was nice looking)...Joe was a teasing wee boot but, boy oh boy!...I wish I was that dalek!!...lol

  • @maadmaestro Oh, I can't wait to get there again! I just finished watching the Time Warrior an hour ago for the next review. One more season to Mr. Baker and a new look for the review AND a new theme song!

  • You should really have your own tv show, You are so cool !

  • @GhostWatching Thanks, Ghost! I appreciate it!

  • Comment removed

  • you are my hero.

I seriously mean that YOU ARE MY HERO

everything you said, everything, sums up how I feel about peoples treatment of the new Doctor.

consider this a +1 on your subscription mon frair

  • Will, thanks a lot for that! I really appreciate it. I laughed at your vid with your friends with your moon hanging out! What was that? Were you guys soused? hahahaaaa!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the reviews, I'm writing the Green Death right now. The first one or two aren't that great, I was just starting, but then they get really fun and they aren't too long. Hope you get to see them and let me know what you think.

    Cheers!

  • ye ye I was slightly err under the influence you might say. hehe. anyway I replied twice cos i got a bit confused as I thought my message didnt get posted. sorry.

  • Eh. I think you're video changed my mind slightly.

Its not so much the fact its Matt Smith that I don't like - Its the fact I think he's little bit young for the role, but I think I'll see what he's got.

But you can't change my mind on that stupid haircut of his.

  • hahhahaaa! I'll give you that!

  • that was brilliant. slightly disagree about adric though (only slightly) being 9 in 1982 and 8 when adric died that was strong stuff the silent ending on earthshock episode 4. dodo is weak though , probably gunfighters is her only strong story.

  • Upon the sight of the second time around, I have to agree!

The Doctor is relative. Or perhaps, RELATIVITY?

Wherever you enter on the journey, you are a companion! And, as I imagine, all companions are worthy because of what the Doctor sees in US!

  • The truth is, 50% of "Whovians" don't come near meeting the criteria of a Whovian - they're just teenage females swooning over David Tennant. But these days, being a DT lover passes as being a diehard Whovian....you don't even have to know anything about Doctor Who, other than Tennant is a looker. They hate Smith because they think like this: Tennant being good looking is what makes great DW. No more Tennant, so the show must stink now. Ask a DT lover what planet the Daleks are from...

  • So seriously agree! I was one of those, never saw a flick until Eccleston and then, BAM! The MASTER!

And that is what sparked my interest!

    I had to know EVERYTHING!

And is why I do the NEW WHO REVIEW!

    Every Dr Who story!

    FUNNY! FAST! FURIOUS!

    Check it out!

  • Truth to Power: so many fans -- Whovians and just casual watchers -- are getting their panties all in a bunch over Matt Smith being the Doctor, and we haven't even had a few episodes to judge him with yet! People forget that most of the time, *every* actor who takes over as the Doctor is deemed "questionable" by the public; hell, David Tennant was not so popular in the role when he took over, and now all the fanbois/grlz are all in a tizzy about him having left - it will all work out in the end

  • I hear good things! I was sooo bummed when Eccleston left, I couldn't believe what I felt! He is such an amazing actor, wasted in crappy effects movies now.

I'm sure the producers who've made this thing sing again aren't going to throw some hack into the ring. They are making lots of money because they are good at what they do. It's going to be BRILLIANT!

  • After seeing the general layout for the first 5 episodes (starting with "Eleventh Hour"), I am feeling very confident that things will be good; I CANNOT WAIT for the episode 4-5 story with "Crash of the Byzantium" -- despite a lot of crap being slung by some people, I think the River Song story arc (or disjointed recursion, as the case may be) is just BRILLIANT, and I think she will be a recurring character over many seasons, much like how the Brigadier was, conceptually speaking...

  • I really like this, I agree completely agree with everything you just said

  • Thanks!

  • I love your enthuseasim my friend. Glad you love The Doctor as much as I do.

  • Thanks for watching!

  • if noone said, yes we're Whovians.

"We are all companions of the Doctor." I won't lie, that made me spaz just a little XD

  • Took a while to get back! If you watch the rants you know I lost my gig, but it's all right! I'm back on and things are looking up! I never felt more like a spaz than the second time around for me when the Master wouldn't regenerate, by that time I'd seen all of the classic series and it was so much more visceral.

  • I agree with you in everything mate. I watched doctor who with the new series starting with Christopher Eccleston, you should of seen my face when the regeneration started.

I still need to get my hands on the old series though. I'm pretty Matt Smith will be great. Anyways hope to see more from you, just subscribed.

  • There are tons of the old series eps on Netflix and a lot of them can be watched online. I just posted the review of the Time Monster! Enjoy! And don't eat poop! Your vid made me laugh.

    But, seriously, don't eat poop.

  • @Tricklestone Haha that was my friend eating it, well he didn't really eat it, we cut the camera in time haha xD I doubt me and my friends are that crazy after all haha =P

  • You are AWESOME, man. ^^

  • Many thanks! I hope you enjoy the New Who Review, I just posted the Time Monster about 15 minutes ago!

  • Excellent attitude man.. I'd be right there with you!.... complete with "wow its.." "yes, I know, bigger on the inside"

  • End of Time was very well done. I got choked up when he said he didn't want to go. Seriously. Choked up. LIke a little girl. I'm glad I was alone.

  • You sir are a true gentleman

  • Thanks! I hope you enjoy the reviews!

  • Hey mate, cool vid

Your right..all Whovians should give Matt Smith a chance...i mean, i've met him..he's a fantastic guy..i can't wait for the new series to start next year

    5 stars mate, well done

  • thanks a lot! tonight's the first part of End of Time! I'm dvr-ing to speed through commercials!

I never watched an episode of Dr Who in my life until Eccleston started the new show. I was heartbroken at the end of that season. I didn't know what regeneration was about. I was really pissed, like I say in the vid. But it only took about 15 minutes to love this guy in the role.

The New Who Review is a lot of fun. I just posted Sea Devils. I hope you watch! And thank you very much!

  • Wow, you are amazing and so is that tie die shirt - woohoo for new found enthusiasm. As a long time Who fan, I'd forgotten what it felt to be "new" and "inspired". Go you :D Welcome to enlightenment :D

  • Many thanks! I love the show!

  • One of the best rants I've heard for aaaaages. Good on you sir.

  • Ha! Thanks! I appreciate it!

  • I loved it all! Don't be a Tegan be an Ace! =] Haha. Quality.

Matt Smith is going to be brillaint! I hate people who slag him off already!

  • I hate to see Tenant go but they all do eventually.

  • I gota say....very well said

  • Thanks!

  • Brilliant mate if only every fan thinks the way you do about this brilliant show enjoying the ride.

  • The following here with just my work friends is a good sized group and we are lucky to have some folks near here who sponsor visits from cast members! Mini cons, I suppose you'd call them. But I love this show and I hope you check out my New Who Review, I'm up to season 9!

  • Spot on.

  • Thanks, van!

  • You're BRILLIANT!

I'm a fan of the show since '73, and I would've put it exactly the same way - or, as Brigadier Alexander Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart once put it, "Wonderful chap - all of them..."

  • I'm reviewing them all, The New Who Review, here on youtube and I'm in the Unit era with Lethbridge-Stewart and it's a lot of fun. I'm up to season 9!

  • Completely right. The people having a go at Matt Smith are the same sort of oaf's who slaughtered Daniel Craig before he filmed a single scene as Bond! Good luck to Matt, by all accounts what he has filmed so far is terrific.

  • I am really looking forward to it!

  • Right! It'll be a ride!

  • I totally agree with you! Matt Smith hasn't even started and people are being cridics!

You should join my support Matt Smith Group, i'll send you an invatation. See you there.

  • this dude be american

  • Indeed I be! And a major fan of British TV

  • DAMN RIGHT TRICKLESTONE!!!! Give Matt Smith a chance and we'll see what he's like!

  • His new companion is lovely! I loved Waters of Mars! We saw the hubris of the Timelord brought out by loneliness and fear of the prophecy. Freaking marvelous! Can't wait to see what's next!

  • so well said. every second of this dialogue was great, you are a true who fan.

  • It is an amazing show and I'm glad I discovered it!

  • "Don't be an Adric, be a Jamie".

    Marvellous!

  • Thanks so much!

  • Ha! Thanks!

  • I love you.

  • LOL! Many thanks!

  • seriously, I agree with everything. Its a great way to big up the more unpopular Doctors aswell (;

I was off sick when I saw this and it pure cheered me up : D

  • I agree with you in everything!, the first season of the new series was magic, even if the doctor changes, I will never get out of the TARDIS, because even if his appearance changes he still is the doctor, in the inside he still is that mysterious old man that adducted two teachers in 1963. if We walk away from the TARDIS we will miss amazing things.

  • Amen! I am all the way up to Pertwee's era in my reviews, I hope you enjoy them! Thanks for subscribing!

  • Yeah, like getting exterminated by a Dalek or tortured by the Withfinder General or something!

  • or stuck in another century, or better.....stuck in another planet. tenth galaxies away from our galaxy

  • LOL! Loved your video. I detested Mel also. Hey! I've been a Doctor Fan since the mid-80's and I'm not going to miss it

  • Ha! I have to admit she was cute, though. But that voice! Ha

  • Really good, I'm subscribing.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • You sir, Are awsome....

That is all that needs to be said =D

  • Many thanks! I'm all the way up to the start of Season 8 with Pertwee! I've recently posted the first story where we meet the Master, Terror of the Autons!

I hope you check them out and more so, that you enjoy them!

    T.

  • Season 8 is fantastic, Just wait untill you get to the Dæmons. One of the scariest stories of the classics. However if your looking for a good Pertwee story, watch the Sea Devis. In my opinion the best Pertwee story, only just beating Spearhead from space =D

  • There's only 7 Doctors if you ask me! It ended in 89' & what came after are bad immitations. The new series has politics written all over it. "Who are we going to have as companinions? Well, Rose for Girl Power, Micky for Multi-culterism & Captain Jack for Gay rights." Oh, & the doctors have to be puppies from now on.

No. The classics are Dr Who. Creative, Querky, Dark, contraversial, Anti-PC, Anti-Human, Damsel in distress, great Incidental music, Perfect Format (24mins) & Variety of Doctors :)

  • what do you mean by puppies?

  • Well, they are very much all the same arn't they? Young, Hansome, Spokes persons for Topman! There was nothing if Not Variety of Doctors in the Classic Series. Bill, the Grumpy Old man, Pat, The Space Imp with Deep Pockets, Jon, The Physical Sardonic Sex Flare, Tom, the Excitable & Reactable Buff Nut, Peter, The Colourless Caring Walk-about, Colin, The Tasteless Multi Coloured Mood swinger, Sylvester, The Mysterious Fun Seeking Magician!

Why can't we have Gene Wilder or Hugh Laurie as the Dr?

  • hahahaha! A FAT Dr! That grinding sound would be far deeper! Thanks for watching!

If you look up the New Who Review, I'm reviewing all the classic story arcs. I'm up to the 3rd Dr, and the Silurians! Really fun, after the first two or so, very short, 6 minutes or so! I hope you check them out.

  • Some bloody brilliant points u put there. Ur so right tho, he is the doctor, each incarnation is brilliant in their own way and are essentially one character. How can people be judging matt now, not a single episode yet aired, not a single scene even. I know people will miss david but hey matt will be great, he wears tweed and his companion is hot! whats not to like!

  • I don't know much about the new doctor. I'll give him one series then make a judgement.

  • Wow, I need to send this video to all of the fans who hate Matt Smith, you're absolutely right, I would undoubtably step into the TARDIS regaurdless of which Doctor is at the helm.

  • i remember my first epsiode it was remembrance of the daleks

  • Wonderful video. Absolutely beautiful to see a new fan embrace the old. I do disagee with you about Adric. He is actually one of my favorite companions. I never felt he was annoying. Willing to speak his mind and question The Doctor occasionally but let's not forget he died trying to save lives. What nobler way is there to go?

  • OH, YES! I've had to eat crow about Adric! In January I started the New Who Review to review all of the stories that are available to watch, so none of the missing ones, and I'm two stories away from the 3rd Dr! I hope you'll give them a look. The first one or two are rather dry but then, I started having fun with them! I hope you'll watch!

And thanks for your time and comments!

  • You are amazing!!! and hilarious and soo right. If the Doctor showed up and asked me to come along I wouldn't even think twice.

  • Thanks! To become unstuck in time... And space...

  • Well said. I admit I am weary of this new guy (though less and less the more I get used to the idea) and David Tennant will always be MY doctor, but The doctor will be back and I will be along for the ride.

  • Tennant is amazing in everything he does! (strictly my opinion!) and I am really enjoying the old series again. I am almost on the 3rd Dr! I hope you watch all the reviews and let me know what you think!

  • Oh, I'm trying to catch up on the old series, though it's a bit hard for me cause I'm not in the US or the UK, or anywhere they sell the DVD's :D, So far I've only been able to watch Castrovalva and The Five Doctors, (I'm a bit partial to Peter Davison) and I loved it. I did watch a few of your reviews, though, and they're brilliant!

  • thank you very much! On the BBC website there are the photo novels of the episodes, it's not nearly the same. there are other sites like youtube with amazing reconstructions of lost episodes as well.

  • You are my hero, in spite of your dislike of some of my favourite companions!!!! This is absolutely spot on fantastic!!!!!! You rock!

  • haha! you know, i've really had to eat crow on what i said about the companions! This second time around watching them all, I've had a change of heart about them. I wasn't too kind to Dodo but she was brilliant in that last story of hers. The only bad thing is that she didn't come back to say goodbye!

I'm almost at the end of Mr Troughton on these reviews and I really hope you check them all out!

    thanks!

  • LOL at the Tegan comment!;)

  • I guarantee I'll have to eat crow on that one. I've had some new insights with the second viewing just with the 1st Dr. Dodo, for example, wasn't nearly as heinous as I remembered.

  • I hope your getting to see the restored DVD version of all these wonderful Dr Who stories, these are brilliant, and as a added bonus we get commentaries from every Dr from Tom backer right up to tenant,Unfortunalty Hartnell,Troughton Pertwee has shuffled off this mortal coil before we could get them on DVD.

Still keep up these brilliant review and your Pissed at stuff...i love them.

  • The DVD's are great! I'm lucky my friend has everything else on VHS. Next up is the Troughton era! I really liked him.

  • Fantastic stuff bud.....

  • Thanks! I am also posting vids called the New Who Review, I hope you check them out and let me know what you think. I've just started the Troughton era! I am reviewing the stories that exist, the entire stories only. But there are some fantastic recons I'm reviewing as well!

  • Troughton is just magical, he has real screen presence.... Seeds of Death, Tomb of the Cybermen and The Invasion(this Serial was completed recently by use of animation to replace the lost episodes),are three of his best.

  • The 1980s were shit for drwho a lot of mistakes made ..biggest was drwho did a send up of its self ..a no no..And RIP JNT because he killed drwho almost for good ....

i have been a fan since 1967 the new guy looks to me he could pull it off but i want a old drwho none of this male slut thing kissing hes companions poop what the hell hes from another planet its like doing it with a dog yuck !

  • Ha! I've just met a fellow who HATES the new show. If it weren't for the new show I would NEVER have gone back to see the old one. I like both for what they are.

  • You're not wrong. It's funny, though ... My favorite Doctor (Sixth - Colin Baker) had the worst two companions ... How he was able to rise above Peri and that shrill Mel, I'll never know. But he's brilliant. :D

  • He came into his own with the TRIAL OF THE TIMELORD. I was riveted by his performance there. You can't get lost in FONLIES. FONLY HE HAD BETTER SCRIPTS, BETTER COMPANIONS. I like him very much. (Mel was shrill but I had a secret crush! hahahahaaa! I only figured that out after she was gone! sigh)

  • Colin Baker was my least favorite actor in the part by far, and in interviews he seems to be the least gratious.

However, to be fair, certainly his stories were not as good. JNT had passed his expiry date and needed to be replaced. Without new producers and writers in addition to a change in cast, the stories get very stale, and his were.

Tom is my favorite, but I like all of them in their own ways save for #8, even if it is kind of unfair.

  • The new series has no relevance to the classic series except a police box if you ask me! It's Terrible.. Really it is. You have to have watched the classic series ALOT to notice the subtle differences that add up. Add up to a big great "THis aint Dr Who!" It's a soap opera in space!

Compare any of the new shit to the Mind Robber, The Sea Devils, The Talons', Fenric, Edge of Destruction, Timeflight.. Well not Timeflight but you know what I mean!?

  • Oh, man, I'm sorry you feel that way! I never watched an episode of the Dr until the new series started with Chris Eccleston and it was right after the current Dr, David Tennant, (hope I spelled that right) had his showdown with the Master that I decided to go back and watch the classic series. I wanted to know everything! Daleks, Cybermen, the Master, all of it! This is the second round of watching them all and it's great.

(You don't like ANY of the new episodes? Not ONE story?)

  • That was AWESOME! Very well spoken sir!

And best of luck with the original Doctor episodes... I did have the benefit of growing up on late night showings of Tom Baker, but it was Tennant who got me back into Doctor Who. Then I went back to the original stuff and now William Hartnell is MY Doctor ^_^

  • Thanks a lot!

  • That's a good point about 'even if your least favourite Doctor came along'.

There's far too much McCoy hate out there. He just needs love! :D

  • I only wish... How wonderful a life that would be. Or lives?

  • It's good to see America is just as excited about Doctor Who as the UK. Doctor Who is one of the best shows this country has ever produced and It makes me proud to be British. Great Vid too!

  • I only wish everyone liked the new series. I would never have gotten into the old without the new.

  • Susan got sent away....was left behind anyway :(

  • She got left behind because the Doctor knew she wanted to but wouldn't leave him. Its not as sad as all that. Of course in what way she was his grand daughter is never explained.

  • I got choked up nonetheless. Everytime one of the first left, I got a little chokey.

  • You are a bloody good speaker. I am glad that America has fans of Dr. Who. Because this show needs to be loved by all.

  • the Dr IS loved by all who know of him. What a wonderful group to be a part of!

  • Thank you. I LOVE YOUR REVIEWS!!!!!!

  • From another American Doctor Who Fan, well said!! Your friend Joe should have explained how the show works in regards to regeneration but I felt the same when as a kid I watched Tom Baker regenerate into Peter Davison. It is what has kept the show going for over 45 years. I love Doctor Who both Classic and New and look forward to see how Matt will play the 11th Doctor. Everyone has their favorite Doctor (Ten is mine taking the place of 4th Doctor) Some fans will have to adjust.
