his most underrated album in my opinion and i liked modern guilt, the whole concept behind it was to make an extreamly clean sounding album, and he was working with a lot of other people (like Danger Mouse) so those influences show in it

I still crack up at how Beck takes the things that are popular yet absurd, and makes them even more absurd, and it WORKS. The whole "uhh" thing from Master P in this case, that was popular at the time, and the (always) zany lyrics... Used to listen to this one all the time in college. Awesome.

I've always liked this song. Certainly this is the only thing I wanted to hear after the first 4 tracks. It may not be as well-liked or respect an album as Odelay, Mellow Gold, or Mutations, but he really couldn't have done much better than these first 5 songs. It's a good Beck album opening if there ever was one.

This is from Midnite Vultures, 1999 - I think by the time this came out, I'd seen Beck like, 10 times! LOL ... this is my favorite album of his. I remember sitting outside Tower Records waiting for it.
