omg i don't get why people want a high rate of fire...i thought airsoft was to simulate the real world of war...cmon a REAL STEEL HK416 won't shoot that fast (waste of BBs too)...and so will the other guns if the batteries aren't the right voltage...just an opinion don't be trolling on me...
@andromedarr yeah i got me some titanium gears and poly carbon piston and a lipo with a 14.8 lipo X^D and it jus dosnt break o with a m110 or 20 spring itl prolly break next month idk
@starget what kind of battery are you using because i want to get an 11.1 lipo but i dont want to ruin the piston and will it shoot fast with a 10.8v and turbo systema motor?
@stapia505 It depends on your Spring. You wont damage the piston with a LiPo and a hard spring, but i wouldnt try out a weak spring and a lipo. But if you havent upgraded it, the LiPo will destroy your electronics. and with everything up to an M120 Spring, a Turbo+10.8V will shoot fast.
in regards to jond2614's point, there is a video of this user disassembling and completely submerging a VFC scar (with battery) for a reasonable amount of time
I've seen alot of videos on crappy AEG's doing the water test. And it didnt do anything to there gun. AEG are just pistons and gears. The only electric parts on the gun are the motor and the battery.
Strike86 or anyone do you know if you could water proof a gear box i know it will work anyways but i dont want to take apart my gun and dry the gears and pistons and gear box
I forget the name of the brand, but about a year ago there was an airsoft brand marketing their "water proof" AEG's for law enforcement and military applications. Although it sounds like a very cool feature, they were very expensive due to this one extra feature.
do you know something like drownable flashlights? just one example of thousands of electric things you can put into a waterfilled bucket and still use afterwards.
The test is for the gun, not that battery. The gun kept the water out of the vital areas. Most AEG's would short-circuit inside of the handgrip where the ELECTRIC motor is. Also, it is vital that the selector switch inside of the gearbox stayed dry as well. This is quite an amazing feat by VFC if you ask me.
If you think you can do that with your CA, then I think you SHOULD cuz your a dumbass. Battery voltage has nothing to do with it genius...
Wow, now that's just amazing. I guess I should try that on my digital camera since there is nothing even close to 10 volts. Yay! I got a cheap underwater camera! Besides corrosion, good deal! ^_^
Ha you got a whole mess of other problems it you do that. I never put my AEGs under water b/c I don't want to break it down to clean it and dry it. Just b/c most devices can survive the initial exposure to water doesn't mean you should submerge every electric device you have.
MasterKac88 below once had his cell phone fall in a lake. By some miracle he recovered it and he let it dry and it still works to this day.
I guess you don't see sarcasm when it punches you in the nose. What on earth are you talking about? We went from talking about the AEG, to the battery, to cellphones now.
I myself have had that happen to my cellphone aswell. Everyone knows this. In relation to this video, did your phone work right when you pulled it out of the water? I don't think so. The real question is, will a waterlogged AEG operate? VFC has designed a ~more~ water resistant design.
To be more specific, the most obvious instant problem would be that the electric motor in the handgrip would short out. The battery would also start short-circuiting by the motor contacts. Secondly, the selector and trigger switch. The gun would simply not operate, and then you would have enough fried parts in your gearbox to start up a fast food restaurant.
I saw the sarcasm. I am not shooting you down for saying that. geez people jump to so many conclusions, b/c typing doesn't show emotion. Not everyone will see the sarcasm. It was in the realm of electronics so the cell phone ex. is valid.
it works in water how about sand?

SRC guns are cheap clones of VFC, but the VFC 416 isn't perfect apparently.

thats freakin awesome but I still would never do this. there is also a vid posted of a JG M4(115 dollars) do the same thing
paulguy89 4 years ago
I saw the same thing on Futureweapons on the Military Channel. Oh wait, it was the real HK 416.
But still, I like how you can submerge most of the body in water, give it a few shakes and it still fires.
As if I didn't have enough AEG's already, looks like I'm adding another one to my collection.

Masterkac is right. Water doesn't conduct electricity until 10 volts I believe. So any AEG under 10 v can be submerged.

actually. contrary to belief. the battery will work underwater. its just not a "guarantee". so i would try luck.
pystolwhip 4 years ago
dude, people look, they put it into a bucket, big deal, the battery was in a pouch on the stock. the battery didnt even get wet.
