I personally like zero bloom better for MLG...but for regular gametypes I hate the pistol being a starting weapon in zb...so i like 85%
Pistol would be fine in zb if it was a pickup...but it gets really annoying when you're working on your zb dmr cause you can't get enough for customs and the kids are using pistols...although it does feel good to destroy someone who has a stronger, faster firing gun...
@TNTboomboom No one said you had to use a DMR in close range. The DMR was meant to be most effective at long, or medium range. So its your fault for not adapting to the situation and not using a pistol the way it was meant to be used. Learn to shoot with multiple weapons - the DMR should not be the end all be all weapon. That would be cheap and lazy of bungie to do. So don't call people "Noobs" for using everything in their arsenal. That's the whole point of the game.

@TNTboomboom nah I can kill a person using pistol with a DMR long and medium range hands down all the time. Half the time I get people to no shields before I die if they had pistol and I had DMR at close range. You are the first person that I've ever come across that said pistols were cheap. I can understand Armor lock being kind of cheap even with the update but jet-packing? It takes a pro to use Jet-packing effectively and end up with a positive score in almost every playlist - especially MLG.

One thing that would be good to mention on the working together with randoms is if they have no mics, you have to make sure and pay more attention to where they are and where they are going...so even though they can't tell you where the enemy is, you still know...and they'll probably be able to at least hear you..
i thought it was really mean and unsportsmanlike to just camp the top of the map and use power weapons the whole time. sure, that may be the best way to win, but they'd already won the game when it was 20:5. its a GAME. have fun, and let others have fun. it was already 3v4, the least you could do would be to actually move around the damn map to give the other team a chance. plus, figuring out where the other team was going to spawn was very cruel, IMO. i can't believe the game lets you do that.
@the87th Eh, it was a strategy, but I agree. I'm not saying this guys isn't good, but it kinda takes the skill out of the game. And that's what I love about Halo compared to COD, it takes SKILL. And yes, the spawning thing takes "skill" to learn I guess, but it's a pretty shitty tactic that kind of undermines the whole competition. At least Gears 3 gives you spawn protection. Still, this guys pretty good.

I prefer 85% bloom. I enjoy the Zero Bloom, but I believe 85% to be the "sweet spot". It's what I believe the bloom should have been at to begin with. The pistol will need some adjusting in the Zero Bloom playlist, but I'm sure 343 already knows this.

the pistol needs to be tweaked a little. im glad its ridiculous but it should be reflected in your shields and then health. after 3 shots you still have shields so its weird that you die on the 4th if its a headshot

That isn't 85% Bloom gameplay. That's zero bloom gameplay. You can tell because, surprisingly, there is no bloom at all on his gun when he fires it (including when he fires it continuously). You can easily tell at the 5:10 mark where he fires at several guys for a couple of seconds and his accuracy doesn't change.
This TU is beast, it fixes about everything where Reach lacked.
But to me the only thing they don't need to take out is the bloom effect, I hope they'll keep this option of choosing to play either with or without bloom.
@KabyAlkaris Slayer DMRs is the same as Slayer except you spawn with a DMR. Bloom regards the spread of the DMRs accuracy as you quickly fire it - before the title update firing the DMR quickly made it less accurate whereas in a 'zero bloom' environment your shots are much more accurate when firing quickly.
The title update (and this video) have bloom set at 85% - so it's reduced a bit (but still noticeable) from the old Halo Reach settings.

I like the new TU Update, i haven't had a chance to play 85% bloom yet but i have played zero bloom and it is a lot easier to get kills if your playing against new players but it is even more fun when your playing against seasoned players. But i know my friend hates it his explanation is that all the new players just spam the DMR and instead of hurting their accuracy they just get the kills faster.

I like the new TU Update, i haven't had a chance to play 85% bloom yet but i have played zero bloom and it is a lot easier to get kills if your playing against new players but it is even more fun when your playing against seasoned players. But i know my friend hates it his explanation is that all the new players just spam the DMR and instead of hurting their accuracy they just get the kills faster.
