  • Lol this would work on a white belt bjj...maybe. I was teaching a yellow belt class last week on when your in this position wrap your hands around the guys waist and intill you sweep maintain wrist control. But sure if someone has there arm out like this you might be able to pull this off. Your better off going for a Kimura,Americana,or wedge choke.

  • @b7r7u7c7e It works like a modified bicep slicer. It will only work well if done fast, but the problem with doing it fast is that it can injure before giving the other guy the chance to tap, so it's not recommended to pull this off in training without being slow and careful with it

  • That's a good move. I'll give it a try the next time I'm on the mat.

  • Yup, he's getting mounted alright :D

  • wow man i thought jujitsu techniques were fast. o.o

  • @Uberboy07 Train both arts, as I do, and it's very hard to motivate yourself to do jits after you know how effective catch is.

  • sisudo let someone double wristlock you the catch way and tell me it sucks. you arm would never be the same again.

  • Catch wrestling sucks, its hard to submit a very flexible guy with most of these submissions

  • Hey does anyone know of any place that teaches cathc wrestling in Northern Virginia?

  • @TDH1198 If you can't find anyone who teaches catch, then try finding someone certified (by Eirk Paulson) who teaches Combat Submission Wrestling. It's basically catch wrestling with elbows, knees, headbutts and punching included. Do a search on Erik Paulson to see some of his fights.

  • i tryed this ages ago and i couldn't make it work, the guy underneath me basically laughed at me! what part of his body is it attacking? is it his arm or his shoulder or lat, i dunno?

  • @BJJisAOK this is a compression lock, its aimed at the biceps and muscles of the forearms, its not about twisting the guys arm,its about tightening the blade of your forearm against his to crush his muscles

  • @BJJisAOK Pay very close attention to the blade of his wrist.

  • too bad there no catch wrestling where i live(Can Qc)... Where i live there BJJ in which i train but Catch Wrestling look more fun and more focus on getting better position in bjj we practice alot of guard etc but we dont see alot of take down

  • @yoluigi

Whoa, in Quebec? check out the catch wrestling clubs in canada. Kris Iasketavech is good.

  • he just called that position the saddle wow

  • you are a homo..wow

  • your user name is homo

  • yet you don't disagree that you are a homo..nice

  • haha you're a champion

  • this isnt bjj he has different names for all the positions

  • That's what it's called. Other arts call it the mount, but in wrestling it's called the saddle.

  • @cecchinecatch That's true. That's what it was called a century or two ago anyway before people started calling it the mount.

  • Jiu Jitsu guys will give you this everytime if you mount/saddle them, white-purple belts they are taught in Gi to have the hands up near the neck to prevent chokes. Great one.

  • Different systems have different names man comon get a grip. In Sambo, a Saddle is a triangled figure 4 on leg to induce leg lock.

  • @DannyAllianceBJJ In Judo (the Art BJJ was derived from) its called Tate Shiho Gatame. Most arts have different terms for similar if not the same techniques. BJJ probably took this position from Catch since "mount" sounds like a poor translation on "saddle".

  • actually yeah you do

  • I agree with teddybear

  • you dont see that shit in jiu jitsu
