This is a real good ducumentary.......another big part of the 1950s was the cold war with the USSR (Russia). The constant fear of an atomic attack. Kids being taught to duck under their school desks and cover their heads (duck & cover). Every friday all over the USA you could hear the testing of "air raid" sirens at about noon time. Many people had "bomb shelters" built in their basement or under their back yard.

Nice use of facts, but one problem. The Department of Homeland Security did not come in until after 9/11/2001. In fact, it was formed in November of 2002.
