Pentangle - Bruton Town, Glasgow 13/07/08

oh my goodness, I love Pentangle, but this performance is a train wreck. The vocals and harmonies sound pretty good, but at least one of these guitar players is really struggling to keep up... It falls completely apart at 1:39, then somehow comes back together for some extended noodling. The ending seems to be the only bit they actually rehearsed. This is just painful.

I was there too - I'm a great fan and wouldn't have missed it for the world - but I don't think this kind of on-the-fly filming does the group any favours. It doesn't help that the sound system wasn't up to the job either. Their talent is clear enough though.

Brilliant, I was at the gig too. Blew me away. I don't suppose you caught anything else on camera? I got a few but the quality of my camera is pretty poor.
