  • Absolutely love it!!!!!

  • Meu Deus! Ele canta enquanto chora e chora enquanto canta. Te amo! Obrigada, Galoport.

  • i think elvis was an experiment . God wanted to see what would happen if he gave one man the best looks humanly possible. the best voice humanly possible. and absolutely the coolest moves on earth. the result was Elvis !! no one has ever nor ever will even come close to the king !

  • @deannamarie29 i like that ,

  • i wish it wasnt so scratched up and jumpy. icant listen. thanks just the same though.

  • I believe his Colon problems were much improved around this time and this tour and the Vegas season that preceded it were vastly improved over the rest of his efforts that year. After this show Elvis had a few weeks off and came back on tour in Feb of 77 looking hugely heavy and not moving well at all. I think this show was the last we saw of the real Elvis.

  • If this is like country music style.... if he was alive today and did these songs... would you consider him as country music instead of rock and roll? because his songs there 80% sounded all country music considering yet it was the late 70s... late 70s a modem era.. and yet close to the 80s

  • he seems so much more healthy here than he does in the '77 concerts only months later. Could it be that he's extra thrilled about it being a new years-concert and gives it all or did his health fall even more dramatically in '77 than previous 2-3 years?

    Thanks for sharing, Galo!

  • ...sing it, fatboy.

  • A friend of mine worked security for this show.He said Elvis looked like Fred Flintstone. LOL.

  • BEST version of Polk Salad I heard was this concert ! The 2nd stint at The Hilton in 70 was great also that they used in TTWII. He was a master arranger and never got credit for it.

  • elvis is still the man i rember where i was on aug 16 1977 he died doing 365 shows a year he give to his fans miss him

  • today 31 dec 2010, deja 34 ans jour pour jour de ce show, Elvis est tres en forme, d,ailleur les show du 29 et 30 sont egalement excellent. R.I.P Elvis

  • WOW amazing what 8 months would mean... This is an amazing concert 8 months prior to his death. Looks good and seems extremely into it and is having fun.

  • I am a Elvis fan until the end of time:)

No one compares to Elvis, on top of being the best singer out there he was also one of the best human beings ever to walk Gods green earth:)

I will love you forever Elvis:)

  • It's too bad CBS didn't film this concert for their TV special instead of the ones in June 1977. This is probably the last great concert that he ever performed.

  • @40colby ur maybe right about that, but if u look at it from another perspective the 77 special is very uniqe in its own way, i mean to see him so sick and in a very bad condition is in a way "beautiful". To me its how he thanked his fans that loved him so sincerly much( and still do) and how he just give everything of whats left with him is for me absolutely incredible. I know i dont find the right words to explain in english but i tried:) merry christmas

  • @snookerjam WELL SAID.HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE KING.

  • i'm not much of an elvis fan...

think his 50's movies suck and i'm not a woman or gay, so i don't care for his sex-symbol stuff.

but i'm a "fat elvis" fan. i mean that with respect. in the mid 70's, i love elvis, wish he hung on a little longer.

    this is awesome!

  • @what1111000 , For some of his fans such as myself (I am a woman) I saw a man who was so down to earth, he was kind and genuine ( a hometown boy who made it big).

He had an amazing voice and sound:)

  • one of the greatest ever up till he died never lost his voice

  • Isso é que é cantar

  • This song is on the "Follow That Dream" release. It's a double CD set of this New Years Eve concert. It is an audience recording. But it does not sound bad. I own it. Go on Elvis' site and order it. I wish this would have been aired live a T. V. and the double album released. I believe this album would have gone number one. He looks and sounds great at 41. I believe his career would of jumpstarted again. Rock on Elvis. I miss you very much.

  • ..Elvis Presley, I Loved...!!!

  • Nice Karate Move :)

  • Is this version of polk salad annie on an album anywhere?

  • @smjb007 It's on the Follow That Dream label that RCA puts out and the CD is called New Years Eve. The original album that was put out was called "Rockin' With Elvis on New Years Eve".

  • Fat, skinny, young or old. Elvis was the best and remains the best. All others strive to be what he was.

  • He looks great here!!!

  • .....And the suit said Crrrrrckckck.. Elvis said that at the end of Polk Salad Annie in Texas 1976...

  • Sorry ... but Look how Slow and Lethargic He is moving,,, & he forgot the Words... there ..

  • Elvis is the best..never let me down

  • WHEW!!!!! WONDERFULL video!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where was this concert in Pittsburgh?

  • How good does elvis sound and how well does he look only 8 months before his death, how could it all go so wrong so quickly?

  • That's my main man, Elvis.

  • You are right...this band and orchestra was damn incredible. I had my teenage son whos really into music listen to the Hawaii concert...Steamroller blues and What now My love...I would turn it down before the applause. When I told him it was live he couldn't believe it....One of the best bands ever. I never got to see Elvis live but I did see the band when Elvis ( the video) concert came to the Foxwoods casino....they were just as incredible.

  • Elvis's TCB band rocked.

  • I've been an Elvis fan since i was 6 in 1971. Elvis is the greatest entertainer that ever lived. Elvis the king forever.

  • Gotta love the King!! No one else can compare!!!

  • One of THE regrets of my life! My mom begged me to go to this concert with her and my aunts but I refused...thought he was old and stupid (I was 17 and intelligent!)

  • surely not ,what a missed chance, did you ever get to see elvis live??

  • I have this entire show on vhs and cd. This, I have to say is probably one of his best show of the last year of his life. Occasionally, you can find the cd on ebay or amazon. It's worth it if you are a ''true'' fan. Most of Elvis' shows consisted of only 15-20 songs. This show has almost 30.

  • Elvis the king forever.

  • wish i had the cd of this and someone would put out a dvd or put out the complete concert on tv

  • Wow! Yes, the King was packing around a few pounds, but he still had the energy and the voice. This was part of a five-day tour, far and away the best of his later years. It also marked the first (and only) time that Elvis played Birmingham, Alabama, where I live. It's a shame he didn't keep up the momentum.

  • This is "cool"! Should be remastered and put out as a video for TV. Wow, he is good.

  • ELVIS IS STILL THE KING, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VOICE ...LOVE HIM...STILL.....

DENNIS-MONTREAL,.. thanks for the clip a real treasure having live fottage of elvis..wow..

  • Appreciate him for not that he was just great but also a good and honest man.

  • wow, he really started to change his sound. love it. i just love this whole film. thankyou so much.

  • this new years show marked the end of elvis busiest year. he did up to 100 sold out concerts and most important of all he was able to stay out of the hospital on 1976. he put alot into this show cstanchik

  • i can hear the brass horns behind him providing strong support...but i can't see 'em.

  • YEAHHH Super Man!

  • im sitting down right now and its hard i tell you for sure.

  • A tragedy of a man. Really sad how his life ended up. The drugs took it all.

  • the drummer is playing fantastic! it sounds something like funk-rock version, i like it :D

it should be remastered as a funk disco song for dancing along with it :))

what a voice and sense for rythm :D

  • The trummers name is Ronnie Tutt.

    He's the best...

  • I am 43 years old and an Elvis fan since i was 6. There is no one and i mean NO ONE alive or dead who comes anywhere near to being as great as Elvis. I never get tired of seeing Elvis walk onto the stage and seeing thousands of flashbulbs popping. This is a great version of Polk Salad Annie, one of my favourite versions that Elvis did. Elvis is the world record holder in everything he did, no one else is even close. Elvis was the greatest entertainer that ever lived and NO ONE comes close.

  • @Davewise1965 he is still the most successful artist

  • @Davewise1965 agree totally dave...he was never out of tune...his voice came from somewhere only we can dream off.Am 37..was 3 when he passed and my late mum loved him so we all do,how can anyone say bad things about him??he was also a people person although a loner i feel in many ways.No one as you say comes close...apart from that justin beaver LOL/kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DaI agree with you on gender and grade, the only way to show another resurrect Elvis is so, like never ENM alive nor dead, already had spent thirty-four years and is still present in our lives, this must be the Kingvewise1965

  • Elvis did fantastic and outofthisworld-concerts between 1969 -1973. After that he became heavy and slow. Sometimes the shows were fantastic again like this concert. The guy was ill, but great.

  • i just seen this page i am thilled i was at this concert i had seats in the 4th row it was incredible!!! i remember Elvis saying ..since it is new years eve want me to play all night thanks for posting this video

  • Polk salad annie is full.

  • there is no f***** full songs!!!

  • could someone give good footage of this this concert to the networks so they can digitaly remaster it and put it on tv and also sell it to the public.this is a better way to remember him than the cbs 1977 concert.cbs should be ashamed of producing and airing that show.

  • Elvis is the best. This is awesome!

  • This was 8 months until he died, sounded awesome!!

  • Who said he did lousy concerts in the 70's

    No one beats him

  • Whoever said that must be out of their mind. :P

  • stunning! I own the bootleg in master quality but not the video part, so its nice to see it..he looked great

    WadeElvisMan

  • Nice suit! Rock it Elvis! Alberta Canada

  • I use to have the record of this concert, a boot-leg LP.The sound was amazing. I have since regretted selling it on ebay.

  • amazing.. omg the video an all the other vids from this show are incredible, i wish Elvis Enterprises would get tapes like these and release them properly!

  • i wanted do hear jim sing the fever song

  • well done a great and wonderful unique clip/song of our beloved Elvis. Thank you
