  • love cameos

  • Great fun trying to i.d. all these flicks! I I integrate at least some of them in my original song "Here's To Alfred Hitchcock," viewable right here on YouTube. Just click on my name below or search "CraigASilver."

  • Where's the one from Frenzy? That one was tres cool.

  • Hitchcock THE COMMON MAN!

  • @AbhilashGregory1985 Hitchcock THE OVERRATED HACK WITH THE INFLATED EGO!.. he should have spend less time on making cameos and more time on making better movies

  • This is great. The only thing I didn't see was his cameo in Suspicion, where he's seen putting an envelope in a mailbox.

  • que delgado se lo ve en la última escena.

  • @Pheeelupwashere my guess is he is the figure wlking to the right side of the screen at 0:05, but this is just a guess

  • Where was he in Rebecca?

  • Comment removed

  • @Sithguy77 outside of a phone booth after George Sanders makes a call, it is towards the end of the movie.

  • What is the name or composer of this music?

  • Would you also consider the Gus Van Sant remake of Psycho? According to the IMDB:

[Gus Van Sant] talking to someone looking just like Alfred Hitchcock, in the beginning of the movie when Marion Crane enters the office after her lunch break. In the original version of Psycho (1960), Hitchcock had a cameo in the same scene.

  • I LIKE SO MUCH ALL ABOUT HITCHCOCK FILMS THEY ARE VERY SURPRISING!

  • the reduco one was the best! what film is that from? also, did you have his cameo from "rear window" in there? i didn't see it but maybe i missed it.

  • @lbr218 I don't think the rear winfow one is there ? Thats the one where he appears in the songwriters room, looking at the camera, if I remember ?

  • @echo680 Hitch is winding a clock in Rear Window.

  • @vonaly thanks - yes - we're both right. he is winding a clock .. in the songwriters apartment. then appears to look at the camera, but is actually looking over at the songwriter

  • @lbr218 His cameo is in the song writers apartment winding a clock.

  • i couldn't tell which one he was in the first clip.

  • It's kinda weird to see all the cameos all together. He really stands out! :)

  • Hoy a 30 años de su muerte su trabajo sigue vigente grande entre los grandes el maestro ALFRED HITCHCOCK

  • Genius!!!

  • he makes a cameo in rear window

  • el que más me es el del periódico.

  • He must have gotten bored with all of that damn walking after a while. Lol.

  • I love this dude, not only good, but very simple and funny. LOL the same man appears in all the events.

  • brilliantly put together.thankyou.

  • That was terrific, thanks so much.

    I'm sure he'd've loved it.

  • LOOOL! 01:57

  • How poetic...

  • I wonder how many ppl, back in the day, went to a Hitchcock film for the main purpose of trying to find him in the picture... I assume quite a few..

  • LOL i found him today whilst watching Psycho with my class room. teacher didnt think it was him.

  • Could somebody be so kind and write down the movie sequence? Thank you in advance!

  • NICE!

  • Great video. Who composed the music?

  • Mozart: "Rex" from his Requiem.

  • Thank you so much! I love it! :)

  • dial m for murder

  • lol he's got a sense of humor!

  • ...dude, in "Rope" where is Hitchcock??

  • hes not in the film, hes the director

rear window was the best hitchcock movie

  • i dont know where exactly.... but hes in the beggining, and hes in the middle as a shadow.

  • We actually just watched that in film class last week, and his silhouette can be seen on one of the buildings outside. He's on a red neon sign, that say's Reduco under it, referencing that magazine ad. It's pretty hard to distinguish, but that's what my teacher told me :)

  • mate, that's right! i've read the same thing on wikipedia...

    Thanks for the answer!

  • @avamposto There is a flashing red neon sign caricature of Hitchcock that can be seen in one of the windows as it gets dark outside.

  • dude, i heard recently but thank you for the reply.

    Have a Happy New Year

  • In my opinion, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick and Sergio Leone, were the best " Maestri" of the cinema of the twentieth century.

  • agree

  • thanks

  • Which film is the shot at 1:10 from

  • The Wrong Man

  • Hitchcock. They man was a pure genius. One of the greatest

  • is physco a worth movie watching ?

    like rear window

  • PSYCHO is the best movie!!!

    Watch it!!!

  • is it good enough as rear window ?

  • I think Psycho is better than Rear Window. I love Hitchcock.

Another Hitchcock to watch is ROPE.

Rope is a very different kind of movie...really well done!!

  • hell yes

  • @badturkali - yes and no

  • @badturkali VERY it is the most famouse horror movie ever made!

  • @badturkali YES!

  • @badturkali I would say that ALL of Hitchcocks movies are worth watching.

  • i love how he just casually walks by, or comes out of nowhere and turns around, but ive never seen that newspaper one

  • it's from the film Lifeboat. Clever way of making a cameo in that one, since it all takes place in a lifeboat.

  • Alfred Hitchcock TV series discussed in great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at amazon!

  • Hitchcock + Mozart's Requiem S2!!!!

  • Hitchcock wrote a short story once about someone was saved by a tear. what was the name of it ?

  • i only saw rear window from hes movies

  • Oh, what a man! Thanks for pointing out where he made appearances in his films. I didn't know he "starred" in all of those!

  • Does anybody know who is the interpreter of this song?

  • Happy Birthday, Mr Hitchcock!

  • speilberg isnt good. in the commericals theyll say "directed by speilberg" and everyone will go cause they assume its good but its not the case. kubrick i think made what 9 films. all of them as good as anything speilberg made. hitchcock is a genius.

  • exactly what i've been saying for years.

  • @purplehaze2250 I agree

  • Hitchcock is GOD of suspense/thriller genre... I dont think any other director has maintained the tempo throughout the movie with solely on dialogues... Wat screenplays... TOTALLY COMMENDABLE...

  • interessante

  • i like rear window

  • That's because he hasn't made a film in oh..... 30-40 years?

There are many different directors with many different styles. Hitchcock mad many masterpieces, I personally think there are many diectors better than Spielberg.

    Cappola

    Kubrick

    Scorsese

    Hitchcock

    Tarintino 50% of the time.

  • I'm sorry you have an opinion.

  • 2.02 hilarious didnt mind pulling his own legs what a legend...

  • MOZART...!!!!!

  • "Reduco" :D lol.

  • Alfred Hitchcock missing the bus at the start of North by Northwest was my favourite one

  • As a Hitchcock fan and as an upright bass player, the scene with Hitch carrying the bass made me very happy (The Wrong Man?) would have liked to see the one from Rear Window.

  • Very GOOD video and work 1000***** for you Salute from Spain : )

  • whats the music?

  • @ MUSICALFANGIRL09

  • Comment removed

  • "to catch a thief"

  • Are you a Hitchcock fan too? Do you have a favorite movie of his? I adore him. He was a master storyteller and sure could scare the stuffins out of people. He was also a very compliicated man. Please write back I would like to hear from you. Bye now.

  • this is a great vid, the thing that is funny is when Hitchcock is reading the paper and that guy next to him looks angry at something he is just walking normally, minding his buisness.

    R.I.P The Master Of Suspense.

  • I heard Hitch made a cameo at his own funeral

  • Alfred Hitchcock is an absoulte genius. His films are well crafted and just ozze with taste. His fingure prints are all over each movie he makes. No Director has created or come close to what Alfred (the Autor) can do. R.I.P. Mr. Hitchcock you have imortallized yourself on film. Thus making you live forever and giving us many years of entertainment.

  • brilliant!

  • i love the one from to catch a thief when he's just sitting on the bus next to cary grant. i love how normal he is in his cameos.

  • Brilliant. Thanks for posting. I could watch hitchcock over and over again.......there are so many things on his films that you notice for the first time no matter how many times you have watched them.

  • Mozart's Requiem sounds a little over dramatic here, I think some lively piano would have suited better.

  • well this music is MUCH better than the puncherello music on some of the other Hitch cameo clips here....

  • Sowaycool, RIP, or haunt in peace, whatever the case, now,

    great post!!

  • oh man I completely missed him in Psycho. Have to rewind that video and see for myself, but I think it has possibly been cut out. That would really suck :(

  • the humor of his cameos is if you miss him completely as it can happen so fast. Some are more obvious than others. He was very creative planting himself into his movies.

  • what movie is 2:00?

  • lifeboat!

  • I always remember the psycho cameo

  • which was it, if its the first one then i didnt see him

  • never mind he was standing out side when marian crane walked in

  • movie at 37?

    which one is that

  • Dial M for murder

  • Truly a master of Horror and appearences

  • yep definitely master of both. watch my Psycho video twice and missed him twice at the beginning. Needed to watch the you tube link and compare it to my video copy. He was in the movie alright and the movie was shot as to have not have noticed him. Excellent and funny :)

  • hey this is my g/f's great uncle.

  • He's so clever, to be in every movie he has ever made, even though just for like a few seconds but its the highlight of the movie

  • you mean like stan lee and the marvel movies?

  • An outstandingly creative man.

He was a Leo, was he not? Maybe that's why he had to get his cameo on. LOL.

  • hes just one of the best directors i've ever heard about

    its like signing the paint!

  • Very good! I am going to keep an eye out now.

  • Thank you so much.
