  • well if it is gas leaking because the casing if messed up , then the hot oil leaking into the frozen gas pockets under the ocean floor is a very bad thing.

  • The viscoscity doesn't seem correct to be oil- looks more like soot from the bottom. If they had a device on the ocean floor doing sonar sweeps of the underground area to see how structuraly(sp) sound everything is, then that would kick up a lot of soot.
