  • tbh, i cant really tell what she is doing

  • damn dawg, thats dedication right there. its like being about to air guitar a whole song, accurately, or being able to play every key on a piano for a song in mid air. id never b able to do that.

  • I'd trust them. I'd rather have someone that can do mental calculation (anzan) or soroban calculation doing my income taxes than someone that uses a calculator or pen and paper. If I can't find anyone that does income taxes that way, then I'll be verifying their work with my soroban.

  • @oneism1984

You are an abacus created by YOUR god.

  • fail

  • hahaha

  • It`s true that any child can do this.

There are many thousands of abacus clubs in Japan. Even though I can calculate 10, 3 digit numbers in 5 seconds, there were children in my club who do do 15, in the same time!

I will post a video soon to show how it`s done.

    Best wishes to everyone.

  • People need to understand that anyone can do this. Kids work with the abacus so much that they develop a mental image of it and do their calculations on it. Every child can do this.

  • f'n beast!!!! i wish i could do that!!!!

  • wtf noob

  • I CANt SEE SHE Could B DRAWING A CLOWN for all i know .

  • you are funny man! :D

  • Whats abacus?

  • she was taught how use an Abacus so well that now she just uses one in her head doesn't need a real one. Her hand movement is her thinking about using an actual one in her head. Awesome that would be so cool.

  • what is she doing?

  • she is using an imaginary abacus, she has used it so much that now she doesn´t need it, is like somebody made divisions writing in the air. I hope I make sence.

  • that's impossible for a girl that age! jesus, she's so talented.

  • @skwinkle79 *sense

  • wow!

  • wow...

  • ????????

  • psh...trust me...there are other little chinese kids who can do that...

I can do that...You just need to pratice, abacus isn't really that hard, pratice makes perfect...

she's mostly 3 years old that's how old the little kids start in my school...

  • pagestyped- I highly doubt that many can do this, especially this fast, and WITHOUT the abacus itself. Dont try to be a smartass.

And about the school thing was just so unrelevant...

  • can see do mechanics and statistics with that "abacus"? hahahaha.

  • lol

  • saw a documentery, these kids practice maths 10 hours a day so it's not so strange they are good...

  • I do this with an imaginary calculator

  • omg shes little and its still amazing!!!

  • using an imaginary abacus isn't genius. They teach kids in other countries to use them. Some of the kids get to a point where they don't even need the actual abacus anymore, they can see it in their head. She's still moving her hand like she's using an abacus. There's nothing genius about that. She was more then likely forced to use it until she could use it very fast, and then to not even need it anymore. Things like this are common in some Asian countries.

  • hater!!

  • And thus is why they will continue to have more gifted children(by our standards) than we will children.

The American academic teachings suck. Thank gods I'm an actor.

  • uh, you move the beads accross the line to mark as one of a value. one, two, three, four five...then ten, you move a beed in the tens, its like decimals! gosh! and I dont even take a class! it may not be how they all work, but that's the basic way!

  • how do u use an abicus in the first place lol.

  • SERIOUSLY!!!! lol i have NO idea

  • Yes, it is amazing but a calculator is just as easy and tbh its a bit weird the way they do that

  • using abacus makes you smarter , using calculator makes you stupider... cos when you use abacus you actually use your brain, when in the case of calculator you don't.

  • its imaginary abacus dammit read b4 u comment about the 'way she write is weird' or 'what is she drawing' -_-'

  • what is she drawing. i dont get it.

  • im sure she gets sooooo mad and tierd trying to do that

  • Please look at Christine Lew,

    six years old composer, playing

    'The Violent Thunderstorm'. :-) ;-)

  • well... u dont kno how hard the question is...

  • 1- stressed girl

    2- parkinson

3- She wants to pee pee

4- She has got an invisible abacus

5- Someone is controlling her hand with a remote control.

    6- Genius

  • 1-stressed genius

    2-she does pee pee

    3-she wants an abacus

  • i dont get it....hows that genius.. didnt see anything but a lil girl with a hand that was fitting

  • shes using hers hand to count! rather than using the abucus she does it in her head!

  • But what i mean is we cant see what she's reading or writing.. For all we know this could be a hoax.. Its probably not but the camera person should have got closer..

  • yeah thats true,..it does look daft rather than intelligent..but fair play all the same its real:D

  • wow..

  • wow what a genius !

  • Hey dont they have sideways vaginas over there?

Dude her hands all freakin out cuz they let the girls take alot of meth cuz its disshonorable to be 5 and not in college. so they dont let the girls sleep.

  • she is calling the person in front of her a wanker

  • isn't it obvious that she's moving the imaginary beads around to do the calculations?

  • what the hell is wrong with her hand

  • she's doing maths in her head, dummy. Didn't u read the description?-she uses an imaginary abacus.

  • i dont get it..

    wat is she doing?!?!

  • yall hear destiny's child bootylicious in the background

  • This isn't anything extraordinary. Well it might be to some but there are soroban (abacus) training schools throughout the world that are teaching kids. There are a few in the US and canada. The Soroban School is one and has some youtube videos up.

  • not 10 secs at all

  • haha i used to use abacus too except i couldn't picture it in my head so i dropped out...lost a few compititions too...xD

  • asiankids101: big woop

is the OP by any chance a regular non-asian who's never been aboard? go to school in asia for a change: this is how we calculate... and how the heck do we know she's a genius if we can't see wtf she's calculating?

  • yeah, she might be doing like 5+5 and messes up and has to redo

  • what are 'austic savants' i saw it posted in another vid 2, is it someone who does calculations in their head?

  • she is clever, but this is a common japanese thing... they are still taught in schools to use abacus' and hold school, state and national competitions on who can do the fastest calculations! as the students get older it becomes common to do it in your mind, just mimicking the movements of the beads on the abacus!

also, quite often people who claim to be austic savants at maths, get accusd of using imaginary abacus' if they move their hands!

  • For anyone who says that girl isnt a genius...Id love to see THEM try it.

    :) x

  • She should have an imaginary calculator, then this clip wouldn't be over two minutes long LMAO!

  • ROFL. FUNNY.

  • she has an imaginery abacus in her mind. As she does mental calculations, she would apply some relatively simple formulas and "record" them in the mind. I was trained in this, but she's really fast on that... The training was quite tedious. It consist of memorising at least 10 formulas for addition and subtraction. And alot more for multiplication and division. Then after being trained in the formulas, the students will be trained to have a really good memory.

  • i use my solid calculator to make calculation in 10s flat

  • she's gone through intensive training to do that. there's no doubt that this is reasonably rare, though it is definately not unheard of. she is no genius though. einstein was a genius. newton was one as well. someone who can do multiplication and devision lacks the necessary insight about the world.

  • i dont understand....

    me coffuzzleddd :S

    whats 'imaginary abacus' ... ?????

    oh well :D

she jus a bit wierd :S

yu cant even see if she is writin nyfink..

oh well if she is den i wish i cud do dat :D

  • Did anybody tell her there's a REAL abacus next to her? Poor thing.

  • But sometimes its easier to do it without an abacus though...>.<''

  • she's pretty damn twitchy, what's she on?

  • wtf is she doing i cant see shit

  • poosibly some authistic fluttering with the hands. Quite often to be genius implies a certain part of the brainfunctions but, sadly enough, sometimes at the cost of a minor development of other parts which could include social interactions.greetings Debby

  • jeez. look up the word abacus on the internet. she's not fluttering her hands, she's using an imaginary abacus. it clearly says in the description!

  • Never shows you if the girl is actually doing anything.

  • Were going to be good friends Pox1111

  • little miss genious girl can suck my ass shes faking it

  • jealous

  • I wish I could do that...

  • frekin moron y does it skip and pauise u suk

  • Btw, I'm asian and I SUCK AT Math. I hate it too.

  • BAD ASIAN! BAD!

  • I HATE MATH

  • sorry, wrong username.

  • SHES ASIAN THEY LIKE MATHEMATICS

  • SHES ASIAN THEY LIKE MATHEMATICS

  • SHES ASIAN

  • damn this video is bootylicious

  • ummm why was she wiggling her hands like crazy with the pencil? was she counting?

  • beats that 6 yr old Girl that can recite the Declaration of Independence :P

  • I knew it, asian people have no soul, they are robots and will take over the world one day...mark my words people, mark my words...

  • rasist

but ya asians will take over the world with our rubiks cube skills and super advance brains

  • asians... they'll take over the world,, with their honda's and toyotas driving on their way to eat sushi while holding an abacus on one hand and a tapioca drink on the other while listening to trance

  • it was a joke, you d-bag

  • no, she has a motor-dysfunction. ew.

  • that was how she was counting! not a motor-dysfunction at all!

  • soroban

  • sigh i used to be like her... :'( but I am reduced to stupidity now unfortunately...

  • asians are so smart at math

  • man its funny but also amazing
