What we are fighting is Afghan resistance. This 'taliban' title is propaganda. And the US military's gung ho murdering and humiliation of the local people has only increased this resistance.

Main media are nothing more than mouthpieces for government bullshit. After 9 years if you think there is anything to be won here except for more bitterness and hate you're fooling yourselves.

Our government needs the balls to admit this was a mistake instead of just keeping the problem at bay with new lies.

US soldiers are encumbered in equipment. I should know. But I wish we could choose mission centric equpment instead of carrying everything for every possible situation. Weapon, ammo, and armor and 3 MREs and I'm set

So, Cameron also has designs on sending troops to places like Afghanistan in the future. So, the politicians have not learnt anything. The fact that the UK is constantly under the threat of terrorism, is because we keep interfering in areas of the World that don't concern us!! Furthermore, any war that is not universally backed at home, is doomed to failure! United we stand, divided we fall. Also, get the troops what they need to finish and get out, then make this war the last one!!

Yeah same thing is going on in Canada and U.S. it's lame as can be. Especially here in America we can start a war but not supply our troops with what's needed? That's so unbelievably lame it's not funny peoples life is at stake.
