I bought this album new in 1986. From the very first time that I listened to it until now it stirs my soul. In exactly the same way as that first time. Haunting yet beautiful. It is because of this, a song thatI Iisten to in times of grief & remembrance. I also hear & feel hope, another reason, for me to listen. A very good reason. Unfortunately as of late, more than usual, quite a bit more. Many thanks to John for a song like this. Thanks, again for posting.
I learned about the miracle of life and conquering the supposed veil that hides family and friends, and long deceased kin that pass from you after death. Its a song of great joy and blessings in how it stirs the heart. thank you!
This instremental piece is awesome i want to be buried to this.
If only i could play it! I would play it everytime im alone in my bedroom, people dont appreciate good music until its been forgotten what a shame i reckon.Hope my family send me to my grave with this piece. ajae
yep my parents both left us & are resting peacefully with God now:) I was stunned to find this on fb as soon as I turned my computer on this evening. As I was just thinking about my parents up at the graveyard & how I haven't been back up since my dad left....it was hard to put him away right beside my mom I love this song gives me strength:) <3
@mizzhoedt18: thanks for the song and the marvellous pictures. Of the Eye Of The Zombie album, I like this, Eye Of The Zombie and Sail Away. I think this is John's best instrumental (incl. those he wrote for CCR although Poorboy Shuffle and Side O' The Road are also very good).
this is a very touching song i love this song can someone plz tell me if there is a video clip on them actually singing this song if so can you please email me ktown3181@yahoo.co.nz
I have looked for this , a looong time. Beautiful , moving , emotion filled instrumental. Personally I liked most of "EYE OF THE ZOMBIE", GLAD to locate some of it. Thanks for post......
Длится не более 4 минут, но проживаешь полжизни. Насколько пронзительно, чисто и жизнеутверждающе. Действительно CREDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL ! Спасибо, Джон!
My dad wanted this song played at his funeral. He died in my arms surrounded by the people that he loved and loved him. 52 years old and the good Lord took him home. I miss him terribly sometimes. I listen to this and its like being with him. He taught me to play the guitar. He went home ten years ago. Sometimes i pick up my guitar and the only thing that I can play is this.
Yesterday I lost my Uncle Tom. He meant so much to me. He gave me music. He showed me what music could be. This song, meant a lot to him. He was a huge John Fogerty fan. You Will Be Missed Tom!
@johnflaherty I have everything Johns released since 1964 and to say it was an album full of terrible songs is pretty harsh,The two you mention plus "Change in the weather" also on his new BRR album and nominated for a grammy, plusEye of the zombie,Headlines,Knockin on your door were all very good songs and stand up even today
My sister turned me onto this when I was younger, I think it made a big impact on me wanting to do Instrumental Guitar music. I would love to record this just for fun. very beautiful emotional piece.
nice tune,thanks.

Incredible how, in an album full of terrible songs, he crafted this beautiful tune, and Sail Away.

@pete7356 Yeah, it's more of a personal taste, I gotta admit. And I have to admit I forgot Change In the Weather, that was a really great song.

@johnflaherty John Fogerty could not write or perform a terrible song if YOUR life depended on it!

I think John created this with only synthesizers & Guitar, no human voices or other instruments.
Very nice PICS 5/5
