Zuma is great when the Santa Ana winds blow offshore, and it's way hollow..can be a bit shallow, you can wind up with a strawberry in mid-forehead or alot worse..

Mid June this year(2009) was the biggest Ive ever seen it, It was easily 8-10ft. I went June 15th to be exact. Photographers on the beach... I gotta say I've been sponging for 15 years and I was definitely outta my element... After every wave I caught I got thrown to the beach floor and gallons and gallons of water drilled me into the sand. Well worth it tho. Great experience.

It seemed like every wave was spitting. Randomly caught perfection. Resemble a beach break smaller Pipeline...
I dont think this video (which has been up here for like 5 years) is going to be around much longer. Youtube pulled it once already for DCMA copyright crap, claimed by owner etc etc. I don't believe any band who saw their music used on a 100% non commercial video like this could think anything other than the fact that their music was being promoted. The song BTW is P.O.D Boom for anyone who doesn't know.
i can't remember it, but if i had 2 guess it was around october 5 08... i took a board to the jaw, and it busted my lip all the way through, and i could fot 3 fingers through the cut, and just feel only teeth, no face. i ended up with 25 stiches. and my first day back in the water, i got c street in ventura 12-18, like last weekend. uhm lets see, last days of november yah? i think so....

12-18 foot C street? damn, that's monster, the last time I saw C street that big was on december 5th 2007 they were towing into C street that day which I thought was funny because it's usually so small and mushy. I tried going out that day but only caught a few waves before I was 500 yards down the point from the longshore current lol. alotta water moving.
ha thats insane. Ya oct 5 was so much fun it was just perfect peaky goodness. seriously you could take off and ride a wave almost all the way into the beach inside the barrel. one of the funnest days ever

MAD PROPS!!!! Gotta admit, Drain Pipes even on a 2 - 3 or 4 foot days gets pretty thick. One guy said that if you can ride drain pipes on a big day, you can ride pipe. Keep it up, guys!

this is westward beach, a different part of zuma that has is the same as zuma but with better shape (especially the lefts) westward actually starts breamking in the spring when new southernly swells begin to come
I surfed there this morning. It was small and mellow, but pretty decent for Zuma. That footage is sick. On a big day (like the one you filmed) Zuma will jack people up.
Are you guys serious! This is Zuma we are talking about. I surfed this wave a million times and its typically too fast or closing out. The sand bars were much better there in the 80's and now it rarely gets good.

isn't that westies/drainpipes at point dume? its a shorebreak man you're tripping, maybe not Sandy's style, but definetely the rides usually end on the sand.
