Melee will always be a classic as I played it during my childhood, Brawl was a let down for me. It didn't have the faster-paced action that Melee had and the classic stages.

Not to mention Brawl didn't have the Metal Battle. And Brawl is a dual layer disc, which has some problems being read on Wii...

Melee made the gamecube worth buying for me... I expected the same when I bought a wii. It just isn't as good, too bad the next generation won't have a good, new smash brothers game like we had (I grew up with the original and this one).

Ah well, they can get this game cheap now and play it on their wii. No online play, but I had a great time with it anyway. =)

@jwaffe I know exactly what you mean. This is the first game I got with my gamecube and I instantly fell in love with the music and gameplay, plus it was always fun beating the crap out of game and watch. I personally feel that brawl successfully topped melee, though, and I know many others who would say the same. It has Sonic, man! And Snake! Two kinds of third-party awesomeness!

BULL this version is soo much better f-zero is a racing game- heavy metal is far more fitting than techno here. Plus this guitar sounds absolutely SICK.
