  • You guys have all the fun.

  • Nicely done vid :)

  • Dear Santa.....

  • Great fun and sooo cheap to run

  • Fan flipping tastic!! you have made my day with this vid!

I would love to helm a craft like this.

  • Amazing machines, love that choppy idle and the whistling of the turbos at full chat!

  • Life is Great!

  • i wish i could drive one of those

  • Får musiefartyg köras på grön diesel?

  • sounds absolutely awesome.....what a superb vessel

  • Thanks for sharing but a pity about the totally unnecessary music.

  • does everyone throw in for diesel...awsome sound i love it

  • turbo diesels are amazing, the torque :D

  • WOW!!!!! That was impressive. At 18 Knots tops, the 40' UTBs I was on couldn't get out their own way.

  • its the perfect evil villain boat

  • 480p? Stefan, skärpning!

  • @Greven1985 Okej då:D Det kommer en 720p, hade kass dator när den gjordes hehe

  • Amazing!

  • Absolute BEST light-off, EVER! You can hear each bank kick in separately....just beastly-primal!

  • It used to be petrol driven, imagine 54 leaking cylinder heads...

    Now converted for diesel.

This is a sick, legendary 57liter W18 italian motor.

And it's got three of them...

  • I assume that the hull of these vessels is metal unlike the American PT's which were made of wood...right?

  • great video , awesome piece of history !!! keep up the good work !

  • .21 mpg, or almost 5 GALLONS per mile. YIKES. You need to toss some weight overboard if you're not going to shoot at anything.

  • @kenfo0 ya and they can only get it up to 55mph. do the math 46 knots is like 55 mph. what a waste of money i'm sorry but thats 4.00 a min.

  • and the sweds are still better with money than we are.

  • Is this an actual Naval vessel, or a privately owned/operated vessel? Either way it's incredibly cool!

  • @BunkerGearGal

It was in the navy long time ago, now she is privately owned:)

  • jävligt fräck, men vad har du den till?

  • Awesome. It doesn't seem to leave that much wake either.

  • OMFG!, tweety Bird!.

Die you fool's!, tweeties on watch.....

  • they loook like a pt109

  • omg can you fim the boat some

  • Vackert ljud... väldigt vackert när rå energi talar sin egen visa.

  • VILL HAAA

  • man blir lixom lite religös

  • who cares what it cost, it's awesome

  • is that a v12?

  • Oh yeah!! nice!!

  • Beatyfull Machines! Now I saw the 5000hp...

    Thank you great video

  • 45 ton boat, 5000 hp, can do 48 knot continuously for more than 8 hours (over 400 miles distance). About 7000 litre of fuel.(We have runed her for over 100 miles with an average speed of 46,5 knots without any problems). Idle speed on 3 engines is 21 knot. Max rpm is 2070 and continuously 2030 rpm. Max speed is about 50 knot. She owns by a Trust and we fix all the money ourself.

  • @ordotech Must cost a fortune on fuel..

  • Not really an incredible feat- just lots of money thrown at it. The boat design is plain with a simple formula; massive horsepower+(relatively)light boat. I bet the range at 50 knots is about 60 miles. You can run at that speed for an extremely short time before draining the fuel tanks dry.

  • These boats are not new. The U.S. Navy had them in 1972, stationed at 32nd St, San Diego, CA

  • Engines burn too dirty. Look at all that black smoke. Terrible.

  • That is awesome

  • bloody thing idles at 16 knots.... whew

  • I love the change in sound at about 3:40 when it really opens up.

  • Just loved the K33 HMS Harnosand

  • Now this is a video!

  • @pray4theGay

This boat has nothing to do with taxes. It´s a private project.

  • @Teawby i wanna ride looks AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • As said before, this vessel is privately owned, maintained and operated by a trust fund created only to preserve a vital part of the swedish naval history.

The swedish taxpayers and the swedish navy does not contribute or support the boat in any way, funds are raised through private donations and corporate events.

Before you critisize anything, find the true facts.

All the boats within the swedish veteran flottilla, are privately owned, maintained and operated.

    ´Nuf said!

  • @pray4theGay BAHAHAHA!! $100,000?! You'd pay that much for just 1 of the engine/drive systems. Try in the 5-8 million range, and that's without electronics.

  • @pray4theGay The boats about 850 thousand, and the fuel will be about 30 a year, actually.

  • @pray4theGay what a fagot user name! This boat wasn't funded by taxes, idiot, it's a private project and it's not even American. Also, it cost far more than a 100 grand to build and tens of thousands more than 5K a year to maintain. Keep praying for the queers, loser! Oh and btw, "atleast" isn't a word.

  • i want stacks of turbos in my car

  • @Teawby Could you list the make of each of the PT boats in the vid? thanks.

  • @abbesieyes

    t26, t46, and t56

  • @Teawby Bow designation is not a make but it can represent a series. Don't worry, I went to HNSA(.)com and got the class designations, builders, and backstory on each.

  • Thanx Teawby! your latest vid has the better sound ;)Great tribute to these legendary boats! i hope some more can be rescued from becoming a houseboat.what a shame!

Please check the story on this 1938 French prototype 40K ,4xV12 Petrol 2400HP.40Knts cruising speed, of which some 12 were requisitioned by German Kriegsmarine in WW2,my grandfather was radioman on one of them.went all the way up to Narvik.

  • Diesel Boats Forever!!!

  • is this popeller, or jet driven?

  • @907iceage

    Props!

  • What is your crusieing speed...and how much you burn an hour at that speed.

    Very nice boat man.

  • @ownTer

I don't remember exactly but cruising speed is around 40kts and ~450Litre Disel/hour/machine at that speed.

  • are they the origional motors?

  • @jamzie89

Almost, they are now diesels cause they are more reliable and cost efficient. Original is Petrol, though it is the same construction as the original ones!
