I had a 86 Camaro and i had a KN filter only just like you and it worked great..I should never sold that car i really miss it.

yup speed density with a map sensor plus also need a different knock sensor nd wiring harness

He probably converted from MAF to Speed density which doesn't require a MAF sensor. To my knowledge, you need to swap ecu's from a SD car as well as the engine harness and chip.

Yeah everyone is wondering how is it that my car runs with no mass air flow sensor? Well to tell you guys the truth all i did was unhook it and taken it out and placed the k&n cone on there and ran better with no problems!

@Buck9ty I have the same car and Mas sensor the car doesn't need it cause of the age

@Buck9ty The problem with that is your running in a constant state of Open Loop, and you have no O2 correction. The engine will idle, and run based off of TPS and RPM, but it will no longer have any BLM correction. Gas mileage and performance will suffer tremendously....

@Buck9ty And it doesnt run rich or lean? Have you noticed if your engine heat goes up? I always thought about doing that before I went to an LS1 but was highly advised not too.

love it. aweome car. and i thought i was the only one that had to use something to hold the hood up. lol. And now im sure my car has a Trans am hood on it. only thing i cant do in my car is a smoke show. 5 stars.
