The kits are good to start with, for the cones, the button protectors, the atomizers, the charger and the pouch. You'll eventually use them all, except maybe the pouch. Haven't had an ego battery die (six months) so I can't tell you. They last like work horses. Passthroughs are useful; You don't need a charger and I like the strong USB current when I plug in. If your echo has 510 threading these cartos will fit. If another model there are cheap adapters to 510 available.
I think I am going to get two passthroughs instead of a kit. once the battery dies completely does the passthrough function still work with a dead battery? do those cartomizers fit the echo? I was looking at that.
