i think we should all calm down a bit about borat-Cohen's intentions were to outline the ignorance in the US-if anything, it puts the US to shame more than anyone else. Most ppl don't believe the movie and aren't stupid enough to. Our KZ has so much potential and we should just handle this with dignity-what worries me isn't Borat's portrayal of KZ but the fact that he didn't pay those poor romanian villagers properly for acting.
I think it highlighted the ignorance of people around the world. In the US we're more insulated than other countries when it comes to exposure to other cultures and countries. And it's very easy to take the mick out of Americans and make a spectacle of us along those lines. But all cultures are ignorant to some extent of the world around them, even ignorant to US culture.
Borat was an idiot and only idiots watch a movie like that, and that's why it was a popular movie in America, you can't have idiots watch sophisticated movies. It was a shameful movie. By the way nice song and a pretty lady.

Kazahstan is a multi-ethnical country. There are Asian peoples, Russians and even Germans in Kazahstan. There is not segregation as in US or South Africa.
thats what ppl arent getting now, they think they all look "european" or "middle eastern", when they dont even realize that thats how a typical girl looks like there! borat picks on the country with the smallest voice and now ppl just believe whatever crap he throws out
