My grade nine class tried this. The best we could do was get two volleys before it hit the ground. We were playing it like it was hackey-sack. It's pretty difficult but when the teacher showed some scenes from an actual game, and we were amazed that someone could do this.

I luv this game too and played very much next to volleyball and badminton.

Sepak was for me the TaeKwonDo with a ratan ball... back then (in the late 60s) we also called it Sepak Takra too... Having a good height has a VERY big advantage with this sport such as when serving.... :)

usually if somebody is technically better than ther others they are getting fouled.

and so you lose interest

there are basically 2 attidues:

either you play to win, doesn't matter how.

or you play to enjoy the sport with its asthetic sides.

most of the time we play against other teams for real money just for fun.. and ill tell even without the bets we would play takraw because it feels so good specially when the balls goes back and forth and the adrenaline starts pumping and all i can think as the server is to serve the ball at their weak spots mostly in front middle or back left and right sides.

sepak takraw is the philippines national sport.. I played sepak takraw for competitions back then, you can practice ball control by putting a string on the ball and hang it just enought that you can kick it thats basically what we do in practice.
