Private insurance in Germany is cheaper than a lot of the government insurance plans and gives you greater coverage. To prevent people flocking to private health insurance, the government imposes restrictions, so that only the wealthy and business owners can get private insurance, while everyone else is forced into queues.
So, how can for profit health insurance companies in Germany deliver cheaper and better care than the no profit government insurance? And yes, we do ration care here.

I,m from CANADA and my true story will blow your mind ! A Squirrel, was struck by a car in front of my home last summer so I was told to rush the little guy 25 minutes to an animal recovery center in Midland Ontario Canada.
A surgical team in full gowns rushed the poor little Squirrel into surgery to save his life.I found out in the waitnig room that they just drove an injured BEAVER to THUNDER BAY ONTARIO for physiotherapy.

Comprehensive good healthcare is affordable in the USA by way of reducing spending on pork and other nonsense, like foreign aid. taxes nor premiums need go up. It does not make sense to legalize drugs and pay for healthcare with taxes on drugs. One of the conditions was caused by being rear-ended, by an uninsured driver. Due to this I am no longer able to work and therefore, I am poor. I can't afford insurance. health care reform is important to me. i have a "pre existing condition" which deems me ineligible for private insurance. i'm covered until under my family plan until my birthday in march. I have little money as I'm an unemployed student. Why is actually getting something out of your taxes wrong? Instead of bombing countries, let's keep Americans healthy. It's pure social responsibility of the government's part.

dud--I'm in MM's home town ans he left it in a shambles. And Humana doesn't represent all health plans or companies, whether you like it or not. The Nationalised healthcare in other countries is simply rationed healthcare and one of the many reason why those countries are going bankrupt. Humana honored the policy and its clauses.
