I have Dr. McOy's Medical Kit (Playmates), and I love the scanner, but I had to add a readout.

I made a `Salt-shaker' scanner before I got the Playmates version. It's Medical-Security-Science scanner I made from a garden-hose attachment, a blinking bike tire-valve cap, a cylindrical piece, and a lotion bottle's cap. I'll put it on Youtube soon.

That was added on fan made replicas.
