Why pay expensive monitoring/services charges etc, when you can monitor your own security alarm/security camera direct through your mobile phone. Fitted one in my place, and INSTANTLY alerts me of any intruder outside the window day or night with a visual photo of the intruder. Best alarm security ever, and no false alarms whatsoever. I can also dial in and listen to sounds etc, and is unaffected if phone line is cut. All this for a one off payment of £150.
My company has run alarms for ADT in the past, they usually take 13 minutes to dispatch alarm response, meanwhile we guarantee 20 min response.. so a total of 33 min for a burglar to do whatever.
ADT has even sat on fire alarms several times to the point where the fired department has to break in the front door to get in, then we arrive after being dispatched 40 min after alarm and are given crap from the FD.
Yes they take up to 2 hours to call the police sometimes, google "ADT Law Suit California", ADT is being sued for a slow response time, but they're also being sued for over-billing on increases without notification, and several Attorney General's are involved.
i work with adt and we don't take 2 hours to respond to an alarm. we call the entire list of the contact list in the alarm, if no one respond we dispatch authorities, its not our fault if they don't go right away

ADT is screwing me over, they can't fix my system when I'm available after 5 or on weekends and they won't let me out of my contract without paying a lot of money. I'm switching to a local company that will let me out of their contract anytime, is cheaper, and more reliable and will fix my system after 5 or on weekends. Avoid ADT at all costs! Bastards. Yes I agree. ADT is not what it used to be. TYCO has ruined that Business. All they care about is the almighty dollar. The service TECHs dont even cary simple parts to repair your system. Your better OFF buying a yard sign or stickers than there crappy service. ADT is going DOWN HILL. The truth hurts.
