LOVE this. Urban Hymns was an impulse buy for me, I was only 12 and liked Bittersweet Symphony. The rest was too strange for me. It wasn't until I was 15 or so that I ever got more than 15sec into ANY of the other tracks. I am so glad I did. The sounds are deep and intoxicating while being politely short of entrancing. Not the kind of stuff a 12 year old cares about. I used to loop play this track when I was sitting up in bed reading Lord of the Rings, so I always associate it with that story.

Oasis compared themselves to the Beatles, but this reminds me of Champagne Supernova, only a million times better. So they kinda stole the show. And I love Oasis btw. Urban Hymns is one of the few albums I can listen to all the way through, from the ups of Bittersweet Symphony to the downs of The Drugs Don't Work to this epic ballad. Cheers.

One of the very best albums ever created, especially this track. Nick's guitar-work is beyond excellent. One of my favourites (not on this album) is Beautiful Mind. That one is a track which has a mesmerizing hypnotic effect. Music to play in the evening. I can't play it in the car however, as it sends me into a relaxed state and I don't want to ditch it into a hedge!
