According to the firingsquad website review, a GTX 275 can only manage 30fps with medium settings and only 20fps on high. Looks like you'll need SLI(2xGTX 275's) if you want to use Physx.

if you use XP then you're out of luck. PhysX is only available with Windows Vista/7

i think you have to buy a program called winrar. because i get a messege that says i need to buy this software every time i try to download a demo. but the halo demo w/ online multiplayer is free.

For anyone looking for a general ideah of how good you're pc needs to be here you go.

My comp is 3 years old-duo core 2.66ghz,3gb ram,nvidia 8800gtx,vista home premium 32bit. Runs it maxed no lag. So if you're around there you're good. Good luck.

@dirtbikeryzz that’s entirely not true. while i myself prefer desktops, laptops, especially well built ones can be great for gaming. something like an ASUS g73 are better than about 90% of PC owners desktops in terms of gaming. don’t listen to all these tech illiterates who say laptops are terrible for gaming.

I have a 8800gts 512mb, but the Physx doesnt work, and my benchmark has a FPS of 2 or 3. I used Physx before in Cryostasis, which should be a much more pain in the GPU's ass..

Actually, PhysX cannot be turned off in Darkest of Days so this comparrison is against High VS Low PhysX

The XBox wont have PhysX because it uses a modified ATI card, :/ but Im thinking that it will still have a "PhysX" type physics engine, only not as streamlined

Yes physx is only for PC, the consoles do not support it.

No the Ps3 and wii do not. PS3 supports the software for physx but not the hardware for it, so it does not show in games. I don't know about the wii but I'm guessing since it is such a low-end machine that it doesn't have physx at all.

i can max everything on this game appart from the physx (above medium drop from 60 to 15 =p)

i have a 4870 along with a quad core but i guess thats still no match for physx oh well the games still amazing. Great vid very high quality 5 stars.
