  • Hardly anyone gives a flying fuck about American Football outside of america. It looks cool though in America whereas when Britain tries to do ameican football, it just looks forced and out of place with rain clouds and a shitty Division Two stadium as a backdrop.

  • Yep...American football is trully American. I like it that way. If everyone played then maybe they'd be better at it then it would be like England watching Germany and Brazil etc. being better at English Football. I don't know if I'd like that. Kind of like seeing other nations beat the USA at Basketball. Ouch.

  • Yeah they crushed them allright , their offense was pathetic today , but at least they got the win , the defense bailed them out for sure . I'm glad you liked it , and i would very much like to see what your experience was like . JV

  • Last post :) . Osi is one of the best defensive players in the league , and the Giants are one of the best teams in the league this year , the Miami Dolphins are one of the worst , they haven't won a game yet this season , so i'm fully expecting the Ny Giants to crush them something fierce . JV

  • Miami seems to have a London born and raised player on their team , i didn't know that . For some reason , they aren't airing the game live in the UK . It will be broadcast live on radio over there and on the bbc sports website ( i think ) , then the highlights will be shown on the tele later on tonite . I don't get that . Owell , all i have to say is , you lucky b...... :) . JV

  • What time was it on , because from what i understand , it was broadcast live on the radio over there , but only the highlights were shown later on that nite on the channel you mentioned . If it was broadcast live , at 5 pm , then that's great . JV

  • yeah, it did get a live broadcast ok Sky Sports and the BBC put out a highlights programme at 10.50. it was also carried live on Radio 5Live.

  • The Nfl is thinking about having a team in London . If this game is a success , and so far it seems as if it is , since it's sold out at Wembley , it probably won't be long before that happens . That robot is great but they should have modeled him after a Giants player lol . Fast fact : there are two English born players on the Giants , Osi Umenyiora ( defense ) and a kicker who's name i don't remember . Thanks for posting , i so much wanted to be there . JV

  • The New York Giants :) . I'm glad that the Uk is finally going to get a taste of American football , especially the NFL ( national football league ) , you're going to love it . It's a more methodical and deliberate version of rugby , but that's simplifying it . It can be at times brutal , compelling and thrilling . When it's done right , nothing can compare to it , except maybe ice hockey . JV

  • Is this the first time there has been an NFL game played in the UK? The robot looked more like a giant parade balloon or a puppet, but it was big. I just went to see ASIMO the robot at Disneyland. He is a small but amazing robot made my Honda. Have you seen him?

  • yeah, first game. the NFL are obviously harding to push it but this crowd was distinctly lack-lustre.

    I've heard of ASIMO but never seen him.
