WOW ! I am soooo impressed with these young people!!!! They have tackled one of the most difficult pieces in all the orchestral repertoire and have BLOWN ME AWAY!! AND the SUDDEN doubling of tempo at the end made it - for me - the most thrilling Prokofiev 5th Symphony Finale that I have heard in 55 years of life!!!!! The concertmistress was simply phenomenal as she hurled herself headlong into the rhythmic repetitions of the finale. I wish the recorded ending applause had been longer.

Complayning about the quantity wen the quality is superb? it doesn`t make much sense, anyway. These kids are revolutionising classic music precisely because they play it with an enthusiasm, an energy and so joyfully that the world hasn`t seen until now. They can even dance while playing and take it so easy that the most famous directors in the world can only wonder, and as you said regardless of the size, they sound like which is the merit , besides harmony.

Fantastic playing of a difficult piece and extremely difficult demands of a speed happy conductor. My only complaint is the size of the orchestra...TOO bigggg. But played very well together for how big it was!

Question: why the cello switch at around 5:40?

Wow! Great ending! I wish Prokofiev had composed for film in his life. This symphony sounds very much like good old fashioned film chase music.

Después de ver a la Orquesta Simón Bolívar, y luego ver esto, se hace evidente que no hay ningún "milagro venezolano": todo es el fruto de un programa social, un sistema de producción colectiva que no divorcia a las instituciones de la población, sino que extrae lo mejor de ésta, para bien de todos.

I thought it was going to be great until I noticed some vibrato coming out of the clarinetist ... that's one of my worst fears when it comes to the instrument exposed.

Well, actually, the performance was great, but I'm still not so sure about the clarinetist.
