God, now I really miss the early and mid 90's. The music was often simpler but heartfelt and beautiful for the emotion like in this song. Now I can't stand what's on radio these days.
Have u lied? Have u stolen? Jesus said if you look at a women with lust you have committed adultery with here in your heart.
If God judge’s u by the Ten Commandments will u be innocent or guilty? Does this concern you? The Bible says despise the value of your eye compared to the value of your soul. would u sell your eye for a million dollars? And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. needgod.com

should have been bigger than they were :/ i miss this kind of music... now adays they just get a "pretty face" and someone else to write there songs for them and slap in an assload of auto-tune and a worthless shit "artist" becomes a "star"
Back when I was living in university residence in the late 1990's, a couple of dorm friends used to play this song alot...so hearing this song takes me back in time to some pretty damn good memories of being young and carefree
This is a great song; I love it. It has a different meaning for me than for most people. I have two daughters who moved away w/ their mom and stepdad (yes, ironically enough to a town on the ocean) about four years ago. The lines "When I close my eyes, I see you walking in... I see you dancing in my mind" open the good ol' teargates BIG time. Dad misses you, girls!
The 90's music will be missed but never forgotten. I wish there was bands like this today, well there out there but mainstream media does not wont that talent anymore. Sad.
Where did the music go? I miss those days, it's sad to see what my kids have to grow up with now. The talent is gone well theres still some out there but the madea wonts hip-hop and rap. But at lest we can say we were there and got to love them days.
Zac Maloy (singer) is now a producer in OK City and has released a couple solo albums. John Humphrey (drums) plays with the band Seether. Ricky Wolking (bass) plays for Texas hard rock band Edgewater as of a couple years ago. Not sure about Jesse Davis (lead guitar).
I dont know, but usually people have egos, sometimes, some people in the band want to change styles to prevent getting pigeon-holed, and that change in too radical, so discord forms. The Wu-Tang clashed on changing styles to pschoydelic on the "Octagon" album. The Talking Heads clashed on the West African/Afrobeat sound on their "Remain in the Light" album. But the Nixons made some well crafted songs.
LOL at the people who think the 90's sucked. What did the 80's have? New Wave (which sucked), Hair Metal (which sucked) and some of the worst fashion I've seen. The alternative in alternative rock meant something for a reason (alternative to all that crap that was popular back then). But, of course, alternative rock ain't alternative now.
I miss college radio. I miss this era. MTV was booming with rock videos, us kids were crowd surfing, and we were picking up guitars to learn the simple chords the bands were using...so we could impress the girls. Now it's all hip hop and reality tv. Some days I wish I could go back to the early 90's when the internet was relatively unknown, cell phones were too expensive for every 8 year old to have one, and guys from Seattle were tearing it up on the radio. Those were the days...
@WarmothGuitarist Amen brother!!!!!! The only kid who had a cell phone back then was Zack Morris!!!!!. I saw this band open for Candlebox. That was a hell of a night. I think it was 94 or 95. He did this song solo with an auocustic guitar.
@WarmothGuitarist AMEN man... I think about that all the time. This was the best time for music, at least it was my fav time. I still listen to all those bands, I haven't listened to the radio in years. When ever I turn all I hear is SUCK..
! of my favorate songs. When I was in rehab in the 90s i missed my sisters so much. This song means alot 2 me. When ever i hear it brings back those memories.
We used to have radio stations strictly devoted to alternative rock in the 90s. As a kid I'd stay up in my room and listen intently until this song came on. Then I'd peacefully go to sleep happy. Thanks, Nixons.
Me and some guys from my highschool garage band back in the 90's are presently rehearsing this song to play at my sister's wedding. It used to make her cry when we played it. (Not because we were bad)
lol my whole family was in tht vid except the singer it was my sisters and my cousins my moms friend mas goin out with the camera guy and they needed kids for the video so my sisters and my cousins got in now the camera guy and my moms friend are married lol
your 'mom' was your 'sisters' 'cousin'....thats why your all fuckin weird and 1/2 tarded.. but its cool I had a tarded girlfriend once, she ended up being a stripper at a club..... well it was a car but w/e..
Even though the 90's sucked major ass music wise, this is actually a good song that came out of the "Life sucks and I love to fuck my flannel shirt" era
yea this is a 3 week old comment, but I kinda take it to heart when the FEW like yourself talk shit on grunge, it was grunge music that changed my life forever.. gave music some meaning.. and that my friend is something that was lacking severely during the 80s-90s.... thats the point that you cant understand cause for w/e reason you weren't a part of it, saying 'Life sucks and I love to fuck my flannel shirt era'.. it wasnt the people that made flannels the 'style' it was media pumpin that idea.
there drummer is now the drummer for Seether, my favorite band for the past few years... I just found that out... ANd i use to listen to the nixons as a teen
