You will not find a computer with similar specs for << 1500. That simple. You wont.  Someone please try to disprove me. The closest is the Dell m1330. Same specs as the $1499 macbook (2.4Ghz) for $1473. Is the better design, better OS, and avoiding Dell worth the 26 dollars?

you wanna a cheap computer. go buy a pc. it won't last you more than a year (unless you constantly reinstall windows, and upgrade it yourself). and it won't come with the latest in technology and design. nor will it come with the best operating system to date MAC OS X leopard. so if you want cheap, go buy cheap, you'll get a cheap features with a cheap OS. that you'll have to replace or have fixed or upgraded so you'll end up spending more.

yeah wow very biased. The "entry level" plastic computer is far more advanced than any PC that can match it's price point. So stupid. People think apple sucks because they don't make a crappy computer and sell it for $500. That's stupid. You get what you pay for and with apple you get way more than what you pay for.
