He still hits the bass drums as fast as it sounds, but the triggers make the hits clearer. Triggers doesn't make you faster, hard work and technique does

I agree with KICKHURTUBISE , triggers do help out alot when it comes to your volume and strength when striking the head , so it maintains a great deal of your energy , aside from that he is a very fast and does well for his style of music. It is not about strength when you have some assistance.

Can't make my mind up about the kick pedals. The guy has a very economical style, but I can't tell whether he is using his feet in keeping with the bass sound. My money is also on triggers. However, it sounds class.

Yep. Their drummer is amazing. Not only is he (IMO) one of the best tech-death drummers that EXISTS, he's also a Physicist with a Ph.D in Physics and degrees in medical physics and engineering physics from McGill University (one of Canada's top schools.)
