i think its a bit harsh to criticise her dancing technique, she's not a professional dancer she's a singer and regardless of how accurate her steps were and as len said, she ALWAYS puts on a show! Her performances in terms of entertainment value were amazing
arlene...so nice to alesha...diggin her own professional grave...alesha is a wonderful dancer, but she does NOT deserve to be a judge, she has no where near enough expertise to carry it off. and you can tell she hasn't got a frickin clue what she's talkin about on the new series :P

I agree, this is amazing. Matt Di Angelo and Flavia also did a great show dance too though. Possibly even a bit better than this, but i think Alesha's really captured her personality and why she was doing Strictly- she's sticking it to her ratbag ex-husband Harvey. It's the perfect finish to her strictly journey

I think the lift at the end was supposed to be like that, although it went off centre a little bit. From what I gather, she was meant to jump onto his hands into the air (as she did) and then come down and he was meant to catch her like a "hero" catching someone. But I think it went off centre a bit; and Matt did a great job of still managing to catch her on the end beat of the music!
Alesha + Matthew = FANTASTIC! They are both panting in tiredness and on other SCD it is usually the celeb panting. Rarely Ive seen the partner pant as well 11/10!

Easy way to find out look the video up and see for yourself, what she does there is no diffrent from what thousands of woman do in clubs up and down the country every saturday night a far cry from what she was expected to do on strictly, Kelly Matt and Letitia all had much more traing than her as they all attended stage school.
It's kind of an insult to trained Ballroom dancers to call what Alesha did on the N.E.R.D video 'dancing'. Alesha herself refers to it as 'gyrating' and as noted can be found happening in clubs across the country.
It was a great performance though and I'm glad all her hard work paid off.

Not as good as matt and flavias showdance.
Matt struggled to lift alesha. also matt and flavias was full one from the start with lifts and great dancing. which is what a showdance was meant to be like.
sorry I don't know were you got your information from it is a freestyle routine which means it can be WHATEVER they want it to be lifts, no lifts a combination of many diffrent dances ie in this case Paso/tango. There are no rules, I suggest you have a look at Jill Halfpenny, and Zoe ball's brilliant freestyle rountines you will see they did less lifts than Alesha
Judging by the number of views this has had compared to M&F's I think it can be said that most disagree with you. M&F's showdance was good but M&A's had the 'Wow!!' factor which to me is what a showdance should have.
Alesha wasn't perfect but she was a natural dancer and she just won the hearts of the nation for her hardwork and dedication despite having no formal dance training. Lovely girl.
I LOVE this beautiful but bonkers showdance - the best freestyle I've ever seen on Strictly! Shame about the slightly awkward end, otherwise it would have been PERFECT. I have loved and supported this couple from day one and I cried buckets when they won. Go Team Mattesha!
Alesha's flair for performing dances is what made some of them quite epic. The Vienesse Waltz (how she didn't get a perfect score for that is astounding), the Cha Cha, the Jive, the Salsa and this Showdance (best dance of the series, in my opinion) will not be forgotten.
The first freestyle dance to equal Zoe and Ian's in 2005 this was stunning. And yea I also think that the drop at the end was dellibrate as it is in time with the music think she just landed a little akward.

I really love it. Great interpretation of the music lirics, I thought Mathew Cutler did I great choreography. I don't think was a Mistakes in the dances, if you listen to the the music the impact of the end, she intentional to be drop, to go to that end of the music. Well that is my oiterpretation.
Alesha is amazing, she couldnt have done it without Matt he taught her all the routines and led her throughout, people shouldnt forget that, the guy has the x factor and together they are unbeatable.!!! Matt only got in the final cos he is on the tour and Gethin wasnt.

No way was Matt better on the night. Alesha was consistently better throughout the series and was better in the final. Alesha andMatthew's showdance included great dramatic dancing.
Matt danced better in the final than he did in the semis, but he simply does not have the natural fluid motion of Alesha.
Alesha's show dance was an epic. Really dramatic you could not help but be stucked in by the feeling of an intense thrilling story. Thats what dance is meant to be about! As Craig said she danced as if her life depended on it. Matt is great and its true she really brought him out of his shell.

Judges of anything need to know something! You wouldnt let someone who doesnt have a clue about football be a referee.
The whole point of the judges is to give people/viewers at home giudance of who has good technique. Thats why they are there.

sorry I don't know were you got your information from it is a freestyle routine which means it can be WHATEVER they want it to be lifts, no lifts a combination of many diffrent dances ie in this case Paso/tango. There are no rules, I suggest you have a look at Jill Halfpenny, and Zoe ball's brilliant freestyle rountines you will see they did less lifts than Alesha

Judging by the number of views this has had compared to M&F's I think it can be said that most disagree with you. M&F's showdance was good but M&A's had the 'Wow!!' factor which to me is what a showdance should have.

Alesha wasn't perfect but she was a natural dancer and she just won the hearts of the nation for her hardwork and dedication despite having no formal dance training. Lovely girl.

I LOVE this beautiful but bonkers showdance - the best freestyle I've ever seen on Strictly! Shame about the slightly awkward end, otherwise it would have been PERFECT. I have loved and supported this couple from day one and I cried buckets when they won. Go Team Mattesha!

Alesha's flair for performing dances is what made some of them quite epic. The Vienesse Waltz (how she didn't get a perfect score for that is astounding), the Cha Cha, the Jive, the Salsa and this Showdance (best dance of the series, in my opinion) will not be forgotten.

The first freestyle dance to equal Zoe and Ian's in 2005 this was stunning. And yea I also think that the drop at the end was dellibrate as it is in time with the music think she just landed a little akward.

I really love it. Great interpretation of the music lirics, I thought Mathew Cutler did I great choreography. I don't think was a Mistakes in the dances, if you listen to the the music the impact of the end, she intentional to be drop, to go to that end of the music. Well that is my oiterpretation.

Alesha is amazing, she couldnt have done it without Matt he taught her all the routines and led her throughout, people shouldnt forget that, the guy has the x factor and together they are unbeatable.!!! Matt only got in the final cos he is on the tour and Gethin wasnt.

No way was Matt better on the night. Alesha was consistently better throughout the series and was better in the final. Alesha andMatthew's showdance included great dramatic dancing.
Matt danced better in the final than he did in the semis, but he simply does not have the natural fluid motion of Alesha.
She is a dancer and easily better than Matt.

Alesha's show dance was an epic. Really dramatic you could not help but be stucked in by the feeling of an intense thrilling story. Thats what dance is meant to be about! As Craig said she danced as if her life depended on it. Matt is great and its true she really brought him out of his shell.
