  • why is it that the energy saving bulb manufactures do not sell these bulbs in a special box that that the bulb should also be returned via a free-post back to the manufacturer? if they continue to sell these , it should be easy and free to recycle.

  • huh, this is ironic products of mercury or mercury in it arn't allowed to be made in the u.s. DUE TO ENVIROMENTAL LAWS!!!! But yet "They save the earth and make it green!!!"

  • Mercury poisoning, skin cancer, sever itchy scalp, sensitivity to the UV coming from them for many people and not enough scientific medical evidence as to how all energy saving light bulbs will effect everyone's health with long term use in their environment.. The only concerns are that governments are cutting down their national energy consumption

  • FAG, go visit your boy G bush you walking man dildo.

  • He says 4 types, then shows us only 3?

LED is the way to go. Same price as 12 packs of inc. bulbs, but less than a tenth of the wattage.

He doesn't even go into wattage, and that replacing the bulb is only half of the story. Just swap out your 100 watt ones with 60 watt ones, and you'll save money.

  • Thanks for your interest. An older video for us. Plan to redo in 09 and add other videos of interest on green goods. Conserv-A-Store

  • @RicosDomeTown the hell with LEDS. Halogen bulbs (energy efficient incandescents are the way to go) cfls and LEDs are not suitable for homes. ESPECIALLY cfls.

  • @noreaga12326 Generate your own power and you quickly see the advantages. You have to use more LED bulbs for equal light, but the net energy savings is more than 90%. Even with five LED bulbs, you're only using 1.5 watts per bulb! Using them for spot lighting is more effective than ambient light.

    Just sayin. I like LEDs.

  • @RicosDomeTown i appreciate your advice. energy savings is important but to me, its more important to have nice light quality. LEDs do not come close to having the nice light quality that ur standard edison bulbs have. thats just my opinion.

  • more mercury, BRILLIANT, and do we have a recycling program in place for all this mercury????DUH

  • You are a tool :)

  • Hmm ill remember this growing weed.

  • it costs the same amount of electricity to run either bulb. and coal; if they dont burn the lead and mercury filled coal, by the way. their is no global warming its not man made. its not a big deal. its just a little bit of energy. its a light bulb. you fucking moron. your light bulbs. where gonna have to use mercury in gas and burn mercury, cause we have a lot of it. thats not the point; the little bit of energy which is not much, is not as big a pollutant, soot or toxic waste.

  • Pollutants from CFLs are like a little spit in a bucket compared to burning coal for energy.

BTW, that should be "5 milligrams" not "5 grams"

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • PROS - cheap to run,

    long life

    CONS - very uncomfortable light,

    contains dangerous polutants,

polution also created when during manufacture,

    some cause electrical interference.

  • BTW a new study has found that each energy saving bulb contains 5 grams of mercury. enough to kill a human.
