Let's see I have about 50 books in my eReader all the time. That's about a year's worth of reading for me. So once a year I connect my eReader to my computer to reload books. My eReader even has wireless, though I never use it.
I've had one for two years and read about 100 book son two different models. If you're a reader that doesn't take a lot of notes the Kindle or the Nook is great. If you take notes, for book clubs for instance, the Sony PRS-650 is the way to go. IMO.
OMG! The sony has TOUCH! for note taking. The KINDLE is really good, but everyone forgets one tiny little itsy bitsy thing - NO LIBRARY SUPPORT! the nook, and the Sony Reader support it. Kindle is EXTREMELY Proprietary! THINK ABOUT IT!
Do you want to know why kindle is better because it uses the old fashioned "key-board" which means it is a little harder to accidentally press a button-----continue to next post
kindle is crap. With the Sony reader I get a full touch screen and I more freedom to manage my library. Kindle isn't any good for PDFs and my whole library is in that format. kindle has better contrast though, big deal.
@superamerica1981 still nice when ur traveling i.e, can grab 1500 books with u before u go; either from pdf or the store instead of having 1500 books in your backpack *caugh*... I mean truck! =D
Sony Reader Daily Edition eliminates this problem. It also has a complete touch screen display that allows for writing, drawing, note-taking etc to be done easily without the need of an on-screen keyboard (though it has that too), dual expandable memory card slots, and a touch-interface that is much more intuitive to use compared to the "highlight and click" method of the joystick on Kindle. It's also faster on page-turns. And the best part? Reader Daily supports WAY more ebook formats natively.
True, i think amazon mainly wanted to get away from all those cords and USB's so that people who are not as exposed to electronics can get into the kindle, which overall seems so much more convenient.
lol it'll even read to you! and oh no you have to go through steps with the sony oh the horror of conecting a usb cord! wow we will soon hold the title for laziest contry in the planet! lol it's gonna be just like WALL-e!
@Waldo25m what they're trying to say is that the Kindle is better for doing that type of stuff. What if you don't have a computer nearby and want to download a book?
@Waldo25m Try to download a book when you are away from your computer. You plug your USB where? Up yours you know what? At least with the kindle I can download a new book anywhere under 1 minute.
The winner is going to bethe Kindle 2.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT! It was like a KINDLE commercial in the beginning. Then a knock to any other reader.
