Beautiful song. I get goose bumps every time I listen to this song. & to know that such people come from very humble background beating all odds to give us such, just too amazing. Got bless Africa.
@laurivivi you are from Africa....everyone is from africa...some brothers and sisters left thousands of years ago...that doesn't make them non africans
I was fortunate to live in Ghana and it inspire me to make me so aware and this hit by our brother, Salif Keita tells you and I Africa is our land of our creativities etc.
Africa means our soils, our spirits, our livelhood and our dynasty.
@peasah2005 I´m Portuguese, but Africa is my heart too. I was lived in Kinshasa (Congo), Luanda (Angola), Maputo (Mozambique) and Durban (South Afrika). I love Africa as my hometown. Best regards.

I will be traveling to Africa for a half year from January as a volunteer helping homeless kids in Kenya. Africa is fascinating and I can't wait. Wish I could explore more of it and I probably will in the future.
Great Song, reminds of those days I listened to 'Network Africa' on BBC radio, this was the signature tune. But I not happy because he didn't mention Nigeria, despite being the most populous black nation.

@jteshuwah From what i can hear and understand he says about africa he says it makes dream, vibrate, dance, there is no real way but in africa it is about eating a lot, work hard and a lot in africa,he also talks about countries and how beautiful they are in all he loves the continent in itself and i understand him, africa is so beautiful and if our leaders could just stop thinking about themselves and treat everyone as equal we would really prosper and have an amazing africa.

In fact it is nostalgic if you are an African living abroad.

What a melodious wonder. Just want to get up and dance with those gals. Truly how this makes your heart sing. Colorful and a fantastical muscial performance. What a gem you have sent My ANGEL. ;-) Yep sure is a 'Happy Day.' Now if I could speak this dialect I could join in with this great artists singing. Ummmm that would be sooo much fun. @chsn09 Yes Chsn, although not many (the Spaniards had the indigenous people), African slaves went to Mexico. They had a big influence in our culture, bringing new sounds with them, which are part of our music now, like salsa. With music they also brought new dancing styles. And of course, they also brought magic and healing, which developed into what we call Santeria, heavily influenced by voodoo. So thanks to the unlucky African brothers that were brought to Mexico, our culture is richer!!!
Thankx Daniel. we people need to travel in order to discover that there is in every human being a wonderful thing that can be appreciated..i'm glad you liked it down there...Gracias Amigo...

I am a black American and know Africa has soooo much more to offer than the negative things the US and Europe are constantly touting. it is good to hear of the positive straight from African people =) I am finding so much good and positive and loving it. I can't wait for an opportunity to actually visit.
@truthulsetufree i am from senegal! i hope african american try to be in contact w/ african people and learn more about Africa! they would be more willing to go and see how great a culture we have and how rich the continent is! i had a french freind who once he stayed in senegal a year, he decided to settle there.
@IMFLORIDA305 i enjoy travelling! i did france for 5 years, usa now 6 years! i learned from that to appreciate more my roots and at the same time respect other people and love them! i learned about me a lot !

I am a black American and know Africa has soooo much more to offer than the negative things the US and Europe are constantly touting. it is good to hear of the positive straight from African people =) I am finding so much good and positive and loving it. I can't wait for an opportunity to actually visit.
