  • Salif Keita God bless you and

    all of Africa

  • it sounds great :)

    love africa <3

  • i luv the songs. all the songs, but mostly i LUV THE ARTIST. SALIF KEITA U ROCK MY WORLD.LUV U LOTS.

  • i don't have any idea what's he's saying, but i'm loving this! it's like he's joyous, yet longing, sad almost, like "why can't things be better? we have so much going for us!" but, at the same time, celebrating. am i remotely right in my interpretation?

  • @jteshuwah From what i can hear and understand he says about africa he says it makes dream, vibrate, dance, there is no real way but in africa it is about eating a lot, work hard and a lot in africa,he also talks about countries and how beautiful they are in all he loves the continent in itself and i understand him, africa is so beautiful and if our leaders could just stop thinking about themselves and treat everyone as equal we would really prosper and have an amazing africa.

  • @jteshuwah He's singing partly in french, and is basically saying that Africa makes you get up and dance, it has good vibrations, good music and rythm.

  • @jteshuwah absolutely right!

  • @jteshuwah actually he's singing about the culture of Africa, the many dances and the foods of the diffrent African countries.

  • @jteshuwah - nicely put. I listen to all of African music and most of the time i have no clue in what is being said. Music interpretation is all about how YOU see it.

  • @jteshuwah Your interpretation is right. The song is saying that Africa is place that makes dream, a place that vibrates and makes you dance. Then he cites a few countries, saying they are so beautiful. He continues saying we drink, eat a lot and dance more. Again he cites more countries saying they are beautiful countries. In fact it is nostalgic if you are an African living abroad.

  • Quel bonheur, quelle joie d'entendre et d'écouter cette chanson !! A quand Salif Keita au Ptit zef (petit café concert qui se meurt ... perdu au fin fond de la Bretagne !!) Des milliers de bisous !

  • What a melodious wonder. Just want to get up and dance with those gals. Truly how this makes your heart sing. Colorful and a fantastical muscial performance. What a gem you have sent My ANGEL. ;-) Yep sure is a 'Happy Day.' Now if I could speak this dialect I could join in with this great artists singing. Ummmm that would be sooo much fun. Peace and <3 for the share and the posting.;-)<3

Everything you just said was beautiful man.

    Just beautiful.

    Bless you brother.

  • @dnumdanielem You do know that African slaves went to Mexico right? There is Afro cultural presence and influence in Mexico. Look up Afro Mexicans

  • @chsn09 Yes Chsn, although not many (the Spaniards had the indigenous people), African slaves went to Mexico. They had a big influence in our culture, bringing new sounds with them, which are part of our music now, like salsa. With music they also brought new dancing styles. And of course, they also brought magic and healing, which developed into what we call Santeria, heavily influenced by voodoo. So thanks to the unlucky African brothers that were brought to Mexico, our culture is richer!!!
