  • It's the hope and change we can all believe in.

    YOU ASSED FOR IT

  • 10/1 is my bd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • these cops are doing what they want for a while now where are the rights guys cops i want to say you suck look what you guys are doing when they can where going to lay how many of you guys off till bloom found cash heheh mtb i was cash lol that ok mother earth is going to end it all soon so your foun power will not last

  • oh man Syria is looking pretty bad... bringing down peaceful and Democratic protests with the use of violence. Silencing the brave who try to be heard. Oh wait this isnt Syria, or Lybia, or Egypt... Its the fricken United States of America.. Fail.

  • People will fight back, cops will probably be shot dead because of this. All I can say is they will have brought it on themselves.

  • Fuck the police, they are the private army for their masters the politicians and bankers.

  • Way to go, the Flee party......

  • Why are there so many comments about how terrible the police is? Without them our country would go right down the drain. Standing in the middle of a bridge gets nothing down... Well except slow traffic for hard working americans trying to get to work or home to their families. I am 100% for peaceful protest. But it is protests like these where i give the police credit for not letting a group of rebels ruin a country.

  • @xEAGL3Sx You didn't listen to the audio? They were basically "round-up" in the middle of the bridge, the cops put them in that situation, they weren't planning on blocking traffic on the bridge.

  • @xEAGL3Sx You do realize that the police was blocking the path of the people on the video? if the police didn't do that the traffic wouldn't have jammed

  • God bless the police!! Life's losers out for a march. So you want to take over the Brooklyn Bridge and expect it to be OK?

  • Comment removed

  • NYPD you should be shamed and fired for doing this. They are on tape and clearly initiating contact and violence. Its cool though because the day is coming faster when those badges mean nothing. Your Authority will be stripped and you will be at the mercy of those you just trampled. You had better hope they don't show you the same brand of compassion you gave to your brothers and sisters. Fuckin assholes.

  • OccupyWallStreet как прообраз нового мирового правительства

  • I bet those 700 were just the beginning.

  • fuck the police...

  • thats so lame even european god damn soccer hooligans fook the police up more. But then again we dont get 80 years in prison over here.

  • We, the people, were betrayed AGAIN!

  • They're just picking people at random to arrest? For speaking and expressing their own thoughts and using their freedom of speech? thought this was the USA...

  • Hm its interesting, i was talking about this studying and contemplating my observations for many many many years, and now when i finally get a break a great job and a future they do this...ffffuck me...

  • Fucking cops

  • THIS IS UNBEARABLE!! =[[[[ equality? justice? freedom? does any of these words have meanings anymore? =/

  • If you're kettled or the walking protest is blocked by a police line, there is a complete peaceful way to "flow" around them: pretend as if you want to break through at two sides at the same time, for example on each side of a street. Police forces in the middle sometimes will help their fellow officers at these points so that all of a sudden you can escape through the middle. Has proven effective at several protest here in Europe, such as G8 or anti-nuclear-transport protests

  • Here's to a FAIR, DEMOCRATIC, REPRESENTATIVE government that views us all EQUALLY. #occupywallstreet

  • Were those arrested read their Rights?!

What exactly were the charges? "Complying w/ an Officer"?!

  • i sense a big change of things to come. theres always chaos and disorder before a new era. just like the 1960s 70s 80s 90s. im really nervous of whats next for us!!!!

  • @RBGSolider

I hear you brother!! We don't seem to have much of a choice....But then again..WE are still MANY ,MANY more then they are and I guess we just need some more BALLS..hehehe.

    regards!

  • If OWS was a legitimate movement, Alex Jones would be there and not denouncing it on infowars. A word to the wise is sufficient. ;) BTW- The anti-semitic overtones are a bit disturbing, search for "anti-semitic rant at occupy wall street".

  • what did they do that was against the law????????????

  • @mzperxxxx they were "blocking traffic" ;) funny, if the police was standing in front and behind them, surely they were the ones blocking traffic.

  • Let us regroup

  • police has never been created to protect the civilians in a country, it is created to keep a few people in power.

  • The police are actually the- MINORITY-....let's just say they are LUCKY that we are such nice people!!! we could crush them like ants if we wanted! We are too nice...

  • I saw anonymous lol

  • @Fantastismhism as DO i ;)

  • man i love all people. NOT cops. complete pigs; pawns of the elites that were trying to DESTROY. if they want to join let them, but they aint gonna be in my way, they may have badges and batons and guns, but fuck its the police! Why should we respect them if they're beating us up? Oh they have families just doing their job; im pretty sure that statement can be linked to many other people doing their job. SS officers...Gaddafi right hand men...Chinese communists...etc.

    solidarity friends!

  • Those cops lucky I wasn't there I'd beat them up

  • showing us 99% that we are nothing but cattle for the slaughter... Balance will prevail, there is no other way. I am so proud of all those that have given up their freedoms in NY for us all that could not be there in and in every state that protested, power to the people, one for all and all for one!

  • The whole world is indeed watching. Land of the free? Ha, the whole world is laughing too. Not at you the people, but at your hypocrite leaders.

  • I ****WAS**** planning a trip to Broadway. All I can say now is .. FUCK NEW YORK COPS!!! I can't feel safe there.

  • If this had been a black crowd the outcome would have been very different

  • 1:06

  • What would happen if the circle just closed?

  • ACAB

  • The world is watching you. Stop the thugs who are causing so much misery everywhere. Greetings from India.

  • They indeed fear you.

  • the police have picked there side. I'm sorry you picked the bankers side. You will pay for your treason.

  • Yep, the whole world is watching!! This was all kinds of constitutional rights violated!!!! Where are the advocates, attorneys, lawyers who need some work?

  • Whats the "official" reason for arresting the protestors? Did they just pick protestors without tinking?

  • @SeidAufmerksam disorderly conduct was the main charge

  • Well, what happened to you, Protesters?

Why did you allow this?" You were entrapped, the pigs led you like the Pied Piper - but at the end, you ALLl stood around letting it happen!! Like trapped rats! Except you're NOT rats, but Human Be-ings.

You could have simply brushed surrounded the cops, and have the rest of you go past them!

YOU ARE MANY THEY ARE FEW!

  • @EarthaKit2 They are few with guns.

  • Things are going to get Violent, it's the 60's again, however this time most of the people in the United States are angrey. Bail out the bankster/gangsgters and let the Feds ship trillions of your dollars to them all over the world so they can comeback and foreclose on your home. Do you think you exempt? You and others will be next when they eventually shutdown the U.S. econny.

  • Police State America! Well, it's not much better here in germany. Sad. I have a lot of respect for all the people taking part in this demonstration.

  • Star Wars sign at 1:05. Priceless.

  • Looks to me that this would have been a peaceful protest if only the Police had NOT shown up---who the hell do they think they are?

  • AND MY LAST COMMENT, THE VIDEO THAT THE POLICE SUBMITTED WAS THEM ON THE BROOKLYN SIDE OF THE BRIDGE INFRONT OF THE PROTESTERS BEFORE THEY KETTLED US! NOBODY COULD LEAVE. ON THE MANHATTAN SIDE OR BROOKLYN SIDE. JUST TO INFORM YOU!

  • ALSO THERE WERE NOT POLICE JUST IN THE FRONT ESCORTING, THEY WALKED ALONG THE SIDE OF THE PEOPLE IN THE MIDDLE OF PROTEST BEFORE ENTERING THE BRIDGE,I HAVE THAT ON VIDEO AS WELL.

  • I dont need to march down a street now, it is my MISSION TO MAKE SURE MY VOICE IS VERY VERY LOUD AND CLEAR! THE NYC POLICE LED ME ONTO A BRIDGE WHILE I WAS PEACEFULLY PROTESTING, ONLY TO KETTLE ME IN, HAVE A CROWD PUSHING ON ME AGAINST A RAIL OF A BRIDGE, ENDANGERING MY LIFE WITH INTENT. AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS. PEOPLE COULDN'T EVEN BREATH BECAUSE OF THE "KETTLING". MY PERSONAL BATTLE THAT I STARTED WITH THE GOVERNMENT, JUST GREW 100 TIMES OVER!

  • A NOTE TO THE MEDIA WHO DID NOT COVER THIS STORY OF POLICE TRAPPING OVER 700 PEOPLE ON A BRIDGE, JUST MAY BRING YOU INTO IT TO, YOUR POWER OF THE MAGIC BOX COULD HAVE STOPPED THIS OR AT LEAST BROUGHT SOME ATTENTION TO THE TERRORISTIC ACTS THAT THE NYC DEMONSTRATED ON A PUBLIC BRIDGE, ENTRAPPING OVER 700 HUNDRED PEOPLE FOR HOURS UPON HOURS!

  • I want who ever is watching this video, that I am not a kid, or somebody who is out there because I am unemployed, I am successful and gainfully employed, and have a home on the upper west side of NYC. It was my right to protest in a peaceful manner, I am a law abiding citizen exersising my right to demonstrate and free speech. I have never had any quams with NYPD in the past until this day. MEDIA, I AM NOT A KID, I AM A GROWN 44 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO HAS MONEY FOR A GOOD NYC LAWYER!

  • The NYPD "Kettled" the protesters. This is a common and well known tactic. please wiki it.

  • I plan to fight back, with my LAWYER!

  • fight back already

  • I am still in shock that I was led onto a bridge and terrorized then imprisoned for hours. My nerves have been shot since saturday night, I am disgusted that this happened, and I plan to sue. Even though we are offered representation through the legal team at the occupation, I strongly feel we need a big ass lawyer and sue the hell out of NYPD, I heard they just got a big bonus from JP MORGAN! :)

  • @TheJada03022 Kettling, also known as containment or corralling, is a police tactic for controlling large crowds during demonstrations or protests. It involves the formation of large cordons of police officers who then move to contain a crowd within a limited area. Protesters are left only one choice of exit, determined by the police, or are completely prevented from leaving. In some cases protesters are reported to have been denied access to food, water and toilet facilities for a long period

  • I did not get back to my home until 7am the next morning, the police took us to east new york, when we got out of the station around 4am, I was with many women really not knowing how to get to any stations around there. We asked for police escorts to take us to a train station, they refused. We stayed in a group, which I led, even though I didnt know where I was, the rest of the protesters were young girls. Block and blocks away we got to the train. I did not sleep since this happend.

  • I was in the middle with you, my name is tammy hileman, I was one of the last to leave the bridge. It was hard to see anything going on in the middle of that pack, I was severely pushed on the rails of the bridge, in fear of my life that I was going to somehow get pushed over. I hung on for dear life and did not know what was happening, it was terrifying to say the least. I was escorted off the bridge with mainly women to the 75th precint, where as I spent 8 hours with fellow protesters.

  • I find it fascinating that the events have been more publiced in Europe than here. Sounds like a repeat of what was happening in Egypt.

  • how long can you beat a dog before it realizes it has teeth?

  • comment, favorite, thumbs up every single last video about what is going on. Screw the media blackout the media is dead use the internet while you can

  • people could have left if they wanted to...there was a group of five guys who just walked pass the police officers who were walking at the back of the group. the police officers clearly saw them but did not prevent them from leaving. interesting that the camera pulled away when that happened

  • @westies do I smell tea? the point is the people DIDN'T know they were breaking the law because it was the police that was leading the protest. Why would they suddenly leave? By the time they knew they might be arrested, they were corralled in. The camera didn't "pull away" as you assessed, it showed clearly what happened. Too bad mainstream news didn't have any footage of their own because they are funded by the very banks these people are protesting.

  • @spastikman how could the protesters believe what they were doing was legal? they were blocking brooklyn bridge. what does it matter if they believed the police were leading them or not, though the police expressly stated that they were not? And just because I have a different opinion than you doesn't mean I have a different political affiliation.

  • @westies as a frequenter of many protests, streets are blocked off all the time without a single arrest. In this case the police were the first ones on the road heading through the bridge. How were they not breaking the law prior to anyone else?

  • @spastikman the fact that the streets weren't blocked off does not give the protesters the right to hop from the sidewalk to the roadway. there were repeated warnings from the police. thinking that "walking on the roadway is ok" is just not logical given this context. as for the police, there is no law that could apply to the police's conduct, as they are under a different set of rules and obligations, none of which they broke by entering the roadway.

  • in Europe the People stop ALL traffic and their demands are met.. ya think it'll catch on here..? no ambulances, no oil trucks, no UPS.. NOTHIN' MOVES.. all is fair in love and war, I've heard.. they can't arrest us all..

  • unbelievable ! surely they understand that this type of police/gov't action will only act as advertisement and bring out more indignant people?!?!? i am looking forward to the day when the real criminals such as banksters will be 'arrested'

  • learn from the egyptians when the police attacked they fought back, forget this non-voilence crap, you got too many woman and old ppl ,u need a core of radical young men ready to defend the protests,

u also need to start making demands,

  • @chan00chap At this point, violence will rob the protestors of the credibility they are winning. The financial institutions (JP Morgan) are apparently trying to buy the NYPD and this will become common knowledge soon enough. By maintaining the non-violent approach - the protestors will emphasize who the bad guys are.

  • Support and love and from India.

  • Mace in the eyes and now some lies from White Shirt Nazis.

  • The whole world is watching, the whole world is watching, the whole world is watching. They'd rather be officer of the year than human being of the year =( Ugh, can't we just kick cops out of our brotherhood? Haha. I went to Liberty Plaza yesterday and one cop said people couldn't stop to take pictures of the signs bc the sidewalk was public property. Umm...are we not the public?

  • Police Used 'Kettling' Technique on Wall St. Protesters - Oct. 1, 2011 watch?v=Nr2nkTQbIcg

  • As someone who has particpated in protests for peace and human rights for over 40 years, I am astounded to see the police once again siding with unjust power against peaceful people with anger and violence.

  • @bostonviewer well the unjust powers are the one's that cut the checks

  • This is a great video and explanation of the events. I heard a couple reports from others arrested and this basically explains how I understood the event to have occurred. Whole thing with the crowd bottle nosing at the walk way and continuing on to the road instead not really realizing it since the police did not tell them to stop. Shady NYPD - another plot foiled. There is so much misinformation that this will definitely help clear up the issue.

  • Hello good people! I live in Serbia. The point is that all around the globe we are 99%. I've studied the laws and now don't have a job and no any jobs available. Intellectuals, teachers, many others out of jobs. Workers out of jobs, factories sold then closed. 99% of people are hungry. NO any incomes for months! Government calls us: "the losers of transition" !!! I am not fucking loser, I am still alive, as those 99%! I AM TOTALLY WITH YOU and many many others! Keep fighting.

  • @1966nikka We ARE the people of this earth. No wars have EVER been started by the people. It is all our governments, and now that our constitution has been ignored, our governments do as they please. I to have been unemployeed because of moving companies overseas. All has been a ploy. Eliminate the middle class and all that will remain is poor and rich......well it has happened. Now that people have nothing.......only a revolution can change it. Many hugs from your sister in America

  • @TheAura777 We know, about the wars... People here have no idea what is going on in USA, all broadcasting closed, censored. But we will manage with (against) them. Yesterday they've started to explain us how FB became "meaningless" and about ideas to "restrict" it in Serbia. I do not doubt they will try to do it! You people don't give up, march, protest, keep them under pressure, we will spread the information. Revolution it is. Let's go! Hugs to lovely friendly people of USA!

  • God, I hadn't noticed there was so much friction between the normal cops and white shirts until watching this. Heated exchanges in there.

  • This is not the America I know and love...

  • Stuck through as long as I possibly good when this event was going on via your stream! I may be from Canada, but I am 100% backing you all, keep up the good fight, and let's hope that we can awake the masses and cause things to change to the way they should be!

  • I watched this unfold online and saw the number of people watching go from like 1800 people to 22000 in less than 10 minutes. Incredible!

  • 1989 started the Monday demonstrations in Leipzig, German people republic. The speeches of current US politicans, government and opposition are both as far from reality as the speeches of Erich Honecker.

  • I think people need to follow the example of the monkey's on the bridge in the new planet of the apes movie. There were alot more people than pigs on that bridge. People need to realise there is no such thing as a non violent revolution, would India be any different today if Ghandi never existed?

  • Its a shame!

  • Facebook is censoring this video.

  • fuck wall st :D

  • I'm glad I wasn't there - the fat fascist pig is a total jerk, but he only represents the NYPD, so what do you expect?

But that's what they want; they seek to instigate violence.

The senior officers, in the white shirts, know that if they can goad protesters into physical violence, they have won, and can do whatever they want to the protesters.

  • 0:45 An Officer carrying a bullhorn makes no attempt to warn off the protestors following the cops.

1:25 Cops are chuckling, perhaps because they know what is coming as they seal the roadway behind the protesters

2:57 Yet again: the NYPD senior officers create a hysterical scene out of a peaceful protest.

God bless the protesters for keeping cool as these rogue cops betray their trust, after having ushered them all into the car lane.

  • Wow!

  • Thank you for taking the time to make this summary. The whole world IS watching, because the whole world was affected by the US financial institutions' machinations.

  • Arrested for what? Or do I mean whom?

  • why was there no resistance intially by police from stopping the protesters walking on the roadway of the Brooklyn Bridge? Why did they wait untin they got to the center of the bridge to arrrest them? The police were immediately ready on both sides of brige ready to arrest them once they protestors got to the center of the bridge. The question to ask is "was this a set up.?" NYPD answer these questions. I pay tax dolloars and deserve an explanation for this conduct.

  • Never the rule-out the possibility of violence/rioting when violence is being perpetrated upon yourselves. They'll keep taking advantage of you if you don't fight back. Stay strong brothers, from Salt Lake City.

  • This just makes me love my job even more. Having haters makes coming in at 5:30 everyday so much better. #countingmybillsbitch

  • No, "the whole world is watching" people being murdered in Sudan and Syria you spoiled infant morons.

  • Support from Colorado. Thanks for being brave. While you're at it, occupy the Federal Reserve building! Ron Paul 2012!

  • Support from S. Florida. Stay strong and thx for posting this video.

  • Support from El Paso texas

  • Support from Berlin, Germany!

  • 3 people are white shirt cops.

  • I do not see anything to 'like' about watching American citizens being corralled, beaten, arrested, terrorized, humiliated etc... oh, that 'protect' and 'serve' bumper sticker is NOT for Citizens [[as in Human Beings]], but for Corporations, who are people! smdh*

  • Thanks for this great video. It tells the undeniable story with all these great video edits. I appreciate that you compiled all this and put it together so well for us.

I'm proud of you. Thanks so much, brother/sister. 99%!

  • KEEP IT UP!<33

  • Great Scott Batman they were saying the wall street people were in the wrong but clearly the police were leading the sheep to the slaughter !

  • @AlyssaSunwalker It goes to show you that government is the problem, not wall street. Government is the only one that can protect justice or protect injustice. Our blame should not be on capitalism, but rather on corporatism which is protected by government. People owning capital is not evil, forcing people to do things or pay for things against their will is evil.

  • @2002lees Wall Street fraudulently scammed millions of people. They caused people to lose their homes and jobs. THEY are the ones that need to be arrested, not the protesters that are brave enough to say, "NO MORE!"

  • Keep strong! We 99% will overcome! Support & love from California.

  • THANK YOU FOR DOING THAT.all support from germany!

  • The whole world is watching! Keep strong brothers & sisters, we are the only ones that can implicate this change peacefully!

  • You blocked traffic and held an unpermited protest.

YOUR rights end where the rights of others begin.

ALL peoples rights are protected in a free society.

  • Support from Philly. Soon we will be doing our part in our city. This is what democracy looks like!

    One Love.

  • @shorelinepictures i support you & these people, but we are NOT and should not be a democracy. Democracy is mob rule where the little small interest guy gets crushed. If we were a democracy, then women's right among other things, would have never been changed. Republic works, it has just been sabotaged.

  • Like.

  • my question is who were the people at the beginning of the pack... leading the people onto the road? after they were told that they would be arrested... hope people learned to not just blindly follow the herd

  • @desire4liberation I have no proof at my fingertips that anyone was informed that if they entered the bridge they would be arrested. This could be true, but I cannot validate it one way or another.

  • @OccupyTVNY the daily news posted a vid of cop "warning" the marchers with a bull horn... the dude staring down the cop as he made his announcement looked pretty defiant. seemed a provocateur to me

  • /watch?v=Y_D4FZtL1OQ

  • @OccupyTVNY watch?v=6rwWmM1h-P8 <- Cops did this to cover their asses. "Oh, see? We made an announcement." Meanwhile, they led people onto the bridge.

  • @desire4liberation Yeah, why were they even crossing the bridge? Young punks need to start thinking more if they are to accomplish something with this.

  • @mauibrad Young punks?..how about graduates who cannot find a job

  • @travellingrrrl Graduates think and do things strategically. Young punks do things sporadically and follow others without adequate planning and intention to accomplish the goal at hand. These young punks so far are showing that they are not up to the task. They have not said adequately what their goals are, their sights are set too low, and they have been outmaneuvered at multiple points along the way so far. They may still have it in them, but so far they look like young punks & not graduates.

  • @desire4liberation the police let them on it...get your facts right!!!!!!

  • @desire4liberation The people at the beginning of the pack leading the people onto the road were. . . the police watch: youtu. be/Vz67fULXc-0

  • @EspiritoSancto if the popo did not want the march onto the road it would not have happened. i know it was set up.... my question still remains... who were the people at the front chanting take the bridge?? the crowd following behind did not hear any warning... SOMETHING VERY FISHY

  • @desire4liberation The NYPD led them without telling them anything. it was only once they were in the middle of the bridge they were surrounded and arrested.

  • @desire4liberation wether they were told or not. The police do not just make up laws as they go.

  • Are the Likes disabled?...This is an Excellent account.Thank you
