Dissappointing because the CG characters aren't anything special. When we first saw Gollum in The Two Towers people were blown away by how realistic he looked. THAT was a real landmark in CGI effects work.

This however looks no better than a lot of stuff we have seen before.

Anyway, I'm sure it'll be a fun movie and worth seeing at the cinema, just not the major event Cameron has been saying.

This discussion has been had a million times over characters like the Hulk and Yoda. People have said that Hulk only looks fake because we aren't used to looking at big green monsters. The fact is there are realistic looking shots of the Hulk and unrealistic shots. Just because the character is 'alien' to us doesn't mean it can't be realistic.

IMO the worst shot in this trailer is when he says 'This is great'.
