If you watched Live Stage, his car broke down on Akina, and Bunta replaced it with a better one. When Takumi got his Car back, it had the Black hood on it, he also has it on Initial D 4 (Arcade). I'm not sure about Version 3.

the black hood isin't supposed to be on the trueno in third stage dut it was installed on the car onepisode 5 or 6 in fourth stage when project D went against the toudo racing school for the second time

Ah ha, so this is the movie with those races I've read of, but never saw. LOL, Miki was pathetic. The race with Kai, personally, I think was the best. It re-instilled my interest in racing research and helped me remember a lot of info I had forgotten.

i've followed Initial D since Tokyo pop started releasing them, kinda pissed me off that they stopped with Extra stage... but i'm glad they didn't do it, they would have fkd this up like they did first and second stage, by the way if you have the tokyo pop versions of first and second stage and you haven't seen the original version before they "tricked" it out, i suggest doing so... i guess it's time for me to check out fourth stage, a.k.a. Project D!!!

Great ending to a great movie. I thought the Mogi/Takumi relationship was very mature and well-thought out. It ended on a happy and sad note. And Project D is almost over! The last prefecture XD
