God did not restrict Deutoronomic judgments to the first or even second generation of Israelites to have heard this word. THAT is a big piece that Dr. Ice is leaving out.
With regard to the prophecy in Deuteronomy 4 & Israel going through tribulation, then returning to God, I wonder if Mr. Ice has heard of the Babylonian exile. The Babylonians destroyed the temple and Jerusalem in a horrendous event, similar to what the Romans did in the 1st century. 70+ years later, the true Israelites (the remnant) returned, and went on to rebuild the temple and worship YHWH.
