  • whaha bee i really liked the japan guy

his choreo was top! :) also his expression is super :D

  • is japanese guy the 3rd guy?

  • That last guy is too fast to be true!!! O.o @@

  • can someone tell me, who is the last one? i like his style

  • Nate, way to keep the guang dong style alive, a little Huang Guang Yuan, some Ou Xia Sheng. nice! :)

  • I put this video as favorite. Are you talking about the last one? If so, then I'd say the last one was so good it looked like computer generated or supernatural, but completely ful of yang qi.

  • Nathan Lam is the first guy, he competed on a torn mcl. He also got like 5th in the world.

  • To be honest, the first one was the greatest, but the last one was also very good and he looked computer generated like Neo from the Matrix Reloaded, but much better of course.

  • Tru, but I really think if Nate the Great hadn't been injured he would have been much stronger. If you look at some of his previous tournaments he is much faster/stronger usually, but I liked his choreography and his technique was impeccable this tournament. The last guy was strong in some ways, but his Fujian style (running technqiues) were hella' weak sauce. Haa.. are you a nanquan fan? Nanquan/fanzi combo? See ya!

  • I don't do nanquan yet, but maybe I'll do in the near future when my back handles all the power. That's the reason I didn't notice the Fujian weak sauce :)

  • Haha nice! Yeah, check out "zanesthename". There's a real good fujian guy there named Song Lin from this year's qualifiers. That's how it should look, or you can look up Zheng Lei Shi (2005 champ). There are vids sprinkled around, like on mryoda 's name, he's the model for optional nanquan form. See ya!

  • though he was really fast and powerful i kinda dislike that he's trying to do everything so fast that he's getting short and sloppy

dunno, just something missing, not really my style maybe :)

  • dude! i'm rewatching it. He doesn't cut anything short. He's got naturally short limbs so that's why he's so fast. Every move is extended and complete. which part are you talking about? Plus, he's straight Guangdong style, he's had like 5 guangdong coaches, including ye jun, chen lun, guan sheng. Mutliple canadian team member and pan american games winner, and worlds contender (made top 10 in nanquan twice). Pc!

  • whaha oeps i hope i'm not stepping on some toes here

it's the little things that doesn't really count as mistakes what i'm talking about, like the slap on the ground at 0:27 while the arms aren't all high and long, but fast and wide and short, the uppercut at 0:35 while the arms aren't fully extended and weren't really high

alot of his movements are like this, u won't get deducted by it, but gives me an impression as sloppiness, sorry :P

he's still pretty good though :P beats me anytime :P peace

  • no offense taken. we all have our own opinions. Personally I think his basics could eat both of us for breakfast. I competed agst him once and he whooped me. hahaa.. it seems a lot of what you are complaining about are simply disagreements with style or flavor, and not a technique thing. see ya!

  • This is Nathan Lam, from Canada. Thanks for the post!
