  • Just my opinion the compensator looks stupid no offense to those who bought one" But thats just looks as far as owning one I wouldnt mind!

  • Excellent video, really helped me make a purchase.

  • Hi, noob question here.... isnt it the barrel that marks the bullet for identification reasons? if you change the barrel, whats happens then??

  • @4x12

if you use a different barrel, then there are different marks

that CSI stuff is for TVs and movies.. in real life no one has their barrel markings in some database

  • @GunWebsites lol thx for the info... not that I want to use it and not get caught... but yeah, those tv series show one thing and I thought that was a good way of keeping track of things... but if people caninterchange the barrels I was like "whats the use of that system?" thanks and nice glocks!

  • @GunWebsites actually PBSO officers have specially marked barrels according to an article I read in Glock magazine.

  • @4x12 they keep shipping info in their data base as far as the company sells them or at least I would hope so. Im sure it wouldn't be too hard for the ATF, FBI to keep tabs on whats getting put out there!! I mean its your tax payers money they get paid off of"

  • are these banned in california does anyone know?

  • @dammitjavari yup. the threads make it illegal. but i did find out you can have a gunsmith weld the compensator after its in the slide, this will make it legal to have. you wont be able to take out the barrel tho. most people i know on tha calgun forums have just bought a longer barrel with compenstaor cut outs on the barrel itself.

  • Is it just me or is there 2 or 3 different audio tracks going of the same thing but 10 seconds behind each other.

  • Excellent video!!!

  • Where did you get this barrels?

  • Silencers are legal in the Constitution states and illegal in the Nazi states...

  • I thought suppressors are illegal in the United States unless your a government agent, police or military?

  • @MSCompuServ

nope, that has never been the case

  • @MSCompuServ you pay 250 dollar tax stamp to own supressors short barrel rifles and destructive items such as grenades and rocket launchers but there is a lot of paperwork and hassle and you need to turn in a bunch of crap to your local sheriffs office and you had better have a clean background

  • @MSCompuServ You can own them in Texas. I think the Tax stamp is $200.00, but you can purchase them if you have a clean back ground.

  • @MSCompuServ Nope just need a Class 3 License. About a $200.00 tax stamp. Than you can purchase automatic rifles with the fun switch, Silencers, etc.

  • @WHATyouCANTbe

very wrong, don't offer advice when you don't know

  • @GunWebsites Than please explain?

  • @WHATyouCANTbe

this is not the place for that.. the correct information is easy to find

  • @MrLeicamaster

you are blocked.. I'm tired and don't like to be lectured about what so other company does about some lawyer BS .. get a clue and complain to people who care

  • can u use or would you recommend a full size (glock 22 .40 conversion to 9mm) barrel to be used in a baby glock 27 .40? the idea is more accuracy while target shooting.

  • @johnsharptool

Sure, IMO the 9mm conversions would be useful in any of the models

  • @GunWebsites Hi, your videos are always great. I wanted to ask im in the market for my first pistol. I have tried M&P,XDM, SIG, CZ, S&W, H&K different sizes 9mm and I am ending up to glock 23 with converter to 9mm, so I can get both worlds of 9mm and 40. my concern is if there are any issues during conversions or any effects, or should i get both for safety?this gun i am going to use it in house, car and when i travel out my area for concealed. any help will be appreciated. thx in advance

  • @Loyolaf .that's what she said.

  • when it sticks out its awesome!

  • Of the three drop-in barrels, which one have you found to be the most accurate? I'm in the process of buying a KKM for my main Glock 23 and a Lone Wolf for my Glock 27.

By the way, excellent video with lots of good user information. Thanks.

  • @applevalleyjoe If you are talking about what I have noticed with my Glock 20 the barrel from the factory doesn't support or hold the cartridge or casing over all as tight as the lone wolf barrel.. Which really doesn't actually add to much to accuracy from my understanding..

  • @MyGamer1

If it doesn't add to the accuracy, then why are we spending money to buy barrels to replace the factory one?

  • @applevalleyjoe

    - different rifling

    - length / compensation

    - add threads

  • @MyGamer1 for me, it was about the FPS. Since I reload my own 10mm rounds, it has a bit of an affect on the it.. that and its made from better quality materials, I most cast my own rounds so I need a barrel that can handle lead...

  • do they make coversion kits for the glock 24?

  • @661yodaddy

I hope someone does, but I've never really looked for one

  • Very nice and good review dude thanks.

  • do you get any slight increase in velocity out of upgrade barrels

  • exellent video

  • I didnt know you couldnt shoot reloads with polygonal rifling... I guess I presumed glock could chew threw anything you give it.

  • is the 1/2x28 the standard thread for all suppressors or just 9? If not what is the standard .40 thread?

  • if your shooting from a barrel that extends out a bit and you are not using a suppressor or anything is it necessary to use the thread protector ?

I was just wondering that the threaded tip might be a weak link in the barrel being its thinner than the rest of the barrel.

  • @waseem1173

don't need to use the nut, it's just to protect the threads from getting dinked up

I have never heard of any weakness issues with a threaded barrel

  • @GunWebsites thanks man i was just curious

  • Fascinating video! I learned a bunch and picked up some tips. I'm a fan and look froward to every video.

  • 1st reason I went with a conversion barrel on my G22 is to save a bit of cash on the range and 2nd reason the thicker 40-9 barrel adds a bit of weight, almost a bull barrel. Makes for tigher follow up shots.

  • @shaokem Uhhhh.... tighter follow up shots

  • I just bought some reloded ammo for my Glock 31 because .357 ammo is so expensive. Do you think that it would be ok to shoot it out of my factory barrel, I know it says not to but I can't imagine it hurting it.

  • Is there a reason you can't shoot reloaded ammo in a polygonal barrel? I always thought that the only thing you shouldn't shoot is cast lead? I have seen a lot of shooters using reloaded ammo like Hickok45 for example.

  • @HatrXx78

    mostly it's the lead

  • @GunWebsites I heard that it was not actually because of the rifling, but the extraction of the round from the magazine would cut off a chunk of the solid lead bullet, leaving burrs and chunks. Not that the glock is actually polygonally rifled... it looks more like normal rifling, just smoothed out. A CZ82 has really nice rifling, perfectly shallow polygonal geometry, you can't even see the rifling without angling the light off it just right.

  • How does a suppressor work??

  • @MrSuperfrog6 google is your friend use it.

  • That muzzle thing is a flash hider and not a recoil reducer

  • @MrSuperfrog6

    learn, then coach

  • @MrSuperfrog6 It's not a flash suppressor. It's a compensator which redirects the gases in a way that reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil.

  • @MrSuperfrog6 Its a compensator according to their website.

  • @MrSuperfrog6 Thing?

  • @MrSuperfrog6 Say what ???

  • Wait I just bought a 1000 rounds of reloaded 9mm and I heard you say in your vid that you would use reloaded ammo in a standard rifling barrel rather than the stock polygonal barrel of the Glock. Why shouldn't I use the reloaded ammo in my Glock 17 with the standard polygonal rifling?

I would like to know before I start shooting through my Glock with the reloaded ammo.

  • @warnerd14

lead bullets? thats the major concern

  • @GunWebsites Ah ok thanks for clarifying thought i f'ed up there for a minute.

  • @GunWebsites because there is no forcing cone in a polygonal rifled barrel, lead builds up in the shoulder of the chamber, where the 9mm and most other pistol cartridges headspace. This buildup will cause jams and is only a real problem with the use of non jacketed slugs of any nature because the buildup is much faster.

  • @warnerd14 Lead bullets don't like Poly rifling. Unless they have a high Brinnell rating (22) they tend to lead up the bore fairly quickly. You can shoot them safely, just clean out the bore more often.

I've put over 1,000 rounds of hard lead bullets through my G19 w/ factory barrel and had no problems and no loss of accuracy. Then again I keep my guns spotlessly clean. Other people never clean their guns at all and then blame the gun when something goes wrong.

    Merry Christmas.

  • @Whitehorze Hey man thanks for the all the info! I usually keep my guns clean so I guess I should be set, but I'll keep in mind to clean more often if i'm using lead bullets.

    Merry X-Mas! -Richard

  • @warnerd14 As long as the bullets are JHP or FMJ. There should be no problems with reloads in Glock's. That's only talking about the bullets them selves . Not the loader skill set.

  • Out of the three barrels which one would you recommend.?

  • you would want a compensatory if you had a full auto glock

  • @Mr420pot420

    true

  • Wow, a lot of great information. Great comparison video.

  • Nice barrel review....

  • could I get a glock 19 threaded barrel from lone wolf and put ut in the glock 23 also my glock 23 been jaming when I shot in the cold also I recently put trl1 light on it do you think that could be the problem

  • @miltnxc123 No you can't put a lone wolf barrel for the glock 19 into a 23. But they do make specific 9mm conversion barrels for the 23.

  • @miltnxc123

As the others said.. NO there is a conversion barrel (not covered in this video) for that

  • I guess that proverb doesn't fit there, if it's "В пустой бочке звону больше" it has nothing to do with guns, it's about wooden barrel (cask), not a barrel of a gun, you can get misled only in English translation in Russian those are two completely different words. 8D

  • @SwineNahNah

Yea well, I assumed that was the case.. but ..

    #1 I don't speak russian

#2 In english at least, it still kind of works in relation to firearmss

and #3.. honestly, it's just a quote, so I didn't care too much what the real meaning was

  • very nice comparison and great camera work on the barrel riffling.

  • how can you legally get a suppressor?

  • @sk8erfreak9242 You should contact your BATFE office for more information. You will have to get it registered, and pay a $200 tax. BATFE moves at the speed of the government, so it may take many months, and it is a hassle.

  • @sk8erfreak9242

Go to a gun shop and buy one, wait a while, enjoy

  • Cool great vid!

  • KKM barrels rock!

  • i think the recoil compensater looks cool

  • Great Review!

  • so those three standered berrels r for reloaded ammo..and from what u r telling me the polly berrel should not be used with reloaded amo..huh..i imagine that the three standered stainless rifled berrels..r not polly??... right

  • @blackquiver

correct .. but they are not intended for 'just' reloads.. but they all share the ability to shoot them

  • so would the surpessor conflict with those standerd glock sights..cause it looks to me that a person would need to raise the hight of the sights to a better level for a sight pitcure..im not sure sence they r illegal where i live, so im a little ignorent of the subject..but threaded berrels..not a problem to to own where i live.good vid..and hoping in the new year i will own a 9 glock..marry xmass..happy good year to yah all..good will towords men and woman alike..good vid

  • cool vid man..

  • i dont understand y the rifling twists dif directions in these barrels u would think they would all twist to the right but im no xpert ill just leave it up to them..

  • @SOLOK1LLA

Some are for use in the southern hemisphere

  • Does the silencer affect the performance of the gun being that it adds weight to the barrel when it cants up when the gun is cycled?

  • @xXBallistic82Xx

not really, it might look like a large thing, but its mostly air inside they don't weigh too much at all

  • had the wolf barrel.......too tight, jammed allot, hated reloads and tumbled brass....Needs a slight taper IMO but thats not easy.......

Went back to stock......saw no differences in my On Target ability's with either barrel

  • I love that there are so many options when it comes to barrels, sky is the limit.

  • Thanks for the video, learned something :D

  • That gun looks sweet with the can! Great vid

  • Sounds like your 19 is a little bit tight :s, that drag turns my stomach.

  • isn't there a kinda ammo that standard glock barrels don't do so well with?

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana you can't shoot cast ammunition... something to do with the polygonal rifling

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana

    yes, lead bullets (non jacketed)

  • pretty cool!

  • is there realy no wa to youse the lonewolf barrel ón the 19 by 9 mm ??

  • @wrrewrt not really, conversion barrels normally convert larger calibers to smaller ones.

  • GunWebsites, do the aftermarket barrels have fully supported chambers? And, if they do, are you aware of anyone having feeding issues using the aftermarket barrels? Thanks. Keep these cool videos coming.

  • @jhenry3016

    no idea

  • @jhenry3016

All of KKM's Glock barrels are. Check the mfgs websites for specifics.

  • @jhenry3016 You only need a supported chamber if your running +P ammo. If your not sure call the factory and ask. The problem with supported chambers has to do with the sharp angle where the feedramp meets the chamber. This sharp angle has a tendency to cathc on the brass case mouth and cause a failure to feed. Another problem is the steeper angle can cause the bullet to tip up to much and cause a stovepipe jam.

  • @jhenry3016 I have a Lone Wolf 40-9 barrel for my Glock 22. Works perfectly with just the simple drop in barrel. Nothing else has been done, no spring change or ejector change.

  • The KKM has a muzzle brake.

  • cool vid man

  • Wahahei!

  • nice video man keep it up and what are the diffrints eny way tell me
