@32corrupted No, surprisingly enough the ribs do not have to be removed. This look is achieved by gradually (over a period of several years) decreasing the size of the corset you wear. In doing this the bones and organs adjust to the shape of the corset. These women actually wear their corset 24/7. Yes, even when they sleep. I'm not a fan of lacing to this extreme but I applaud her for being comfortable in her own skin.
