LBD - Elevator Example - Rein's Version

@SkateCrushify I wouldn't recommend trying to use my method, it's out dated. There are so many better ways now after the beta since they released more goodies (switches) to make effects like this possible.

Hello! I've got a little big problem :P when i use a piston connected to a switch, button, etc. It always goes back and forth (In and out), how can i make it go in a single direction? (I pull the switch or press a button and it only goes in or out)

@Alxx96 you have to put a switch to it to make it stop. If you trying to make an elevator type of thing the switch needs to be set to directional.

@Alxx96 meh more you play around with switches more you get used to it just like anything else. Once you get used to these you'll probably want to learn logic switches. They got good tutorial levels on those as well.

@reinheart767 Sure, i'm not quite sure what are logic switches BTW :P Oh, two more things, first, How did you recorded your gameplay? And second, i bought Little Big Planet Two days ago so i'm quite new, i guess i should have started by saying that :)

@Alxx96 for recording used pinnacle studio or something, they have vids on youtube how to set that up, need to get special pinnacle stuff. If you didn't already play through the whole story mode first they give you ideas on how stuff works, thats how i learned.

yep its possible by using logic gates in this case would be 'AND' gate, pretty sure they have youtube vids on that and you can find lots of levels on them in LBP.

I would really love to watch this video but at about 1 third of the way through it freezes and crashes every time. No other videos do this and i have tried 3 different browsers. Anyone else haveing this problem?

there is one head piece with cardboard in front, i used that and used stickers decorations to create this one

Hey i got a question, usually when i switch on a door (i use pistons to move de door), the door opens and closes continuously everytime i switch it on, it goes up and down or left and right.... i want it to remain stationary after i switch de switch on once... any advice?

the pistons on the door is done by another switch, so i have one for the up/down on the elevator and magnetic key switch on direction on the piston doors, so when the elevator goes up the mag key is away causing the door to shut.

Cool to see that I'm not the only guy who cares about safety :) I hate all those levels you just have to restart if you jump out of the wrong construction at the wrong time (or destroy one of those massively over-hyped rocketcars...). Oh, and I see I'm not the only guy who thought that that "sackboy coin" might give a good shield in combination with a decorated gladiator's helmet and the wooden sword :)

??? I didn't use any custom song in this, it's all in-game available music from story mode

I really wish I could understand this, but I really don't get how the keys and switches work, and I don't know how to tell what to connect for everything to work properly. I wish someone could give me a little advice.

Magnetic Key and Magnetic Key Switch works pretty simple, once the two objects get near the radius range it activates whatever corresponding object like winches, pistons. I could send you the elevator but need to add to friend on PSN so I can send via message.
