  • she doesn't have to dress in the latest "style" to look pretty.

  • Observe the female in her natural habitat

  • great presentation, horrible camera man, lol.

  • i don't understand how crimping metal to metal would make a air tight seal

  • i call for the creation of more women like this

  • This has nothing to do with canning, but, what beautiful eyes!

  • You are right she is beautiful.. more importantly she is sharing information that can save lives.. inside and out she is a great person... Thank you for the video.. Question: If someone is not associated with the LDS can they still use the cannery and purchase from?

  • LOL! I understand why he doesn't eat long grain rice.

  • Sooo beautiful and capable. Do want.

  • @everydayfoodstorage Awesome video!! But, wouldnt it be more practical to just use mylar bags and plasic buckets? For example: You can put 100 (1lb) mylar bags full of powedered milk in a 55 gal drum (neatly packed) and put the drum in a corner of your basement. If you were to do the same with cans, the storage space it would take to house those cans would be huge! What are your suggestions? Thanks for the great video though!

  • her husband is a LUCKY guy!!!

  • I think the safest place to live if shit hits the fan will be in Utah where the risk of people looting your stash will be minimal because most of the people there are already prepared. The Mormons and the LDS church teach that everyone should have a family food storage. Although I am neither, I believe it is a good idea and I wish that other denominations would teach this as well.

  • I MIGHT MAKE SOME BABIES WITH HER HAHA

  • IS THIS LADY MARRIED, I AM SINGLE HAHAHA

  • @tomcat624u

    Damn right you're single...

  • @BetamaxLives03 NOT FOR LONG THOUGH HAHAHAHA

  • @tomcat624u

    eww...

  • @559BULLDOGG WHEW!!!!!!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE SERIOUS THERE FOR A MINUTE HAHAHAHA

  • @559BULLDOGG Your obsession with brown people is ridiculous, the woman is talking about food and we as black people are on your mind get a life. Even with all your hate you will go to other peoples countries and pillage and even take the people home with you. Your behaviour through the generations to this day is truly odd and obsessive.

  • wow.. this woman is sooo hot!! wish she was my wife!!

  • My cannery told me that you don't need oxygen for powered milk. anyone have thoughts there?

  • @biggdeedubb This is not what I've heard. I heard the only product at the LDS Canneries that you don't use an oxygen absorber with is sugar.

  • Amazing. I am new to food storage and this was a great video.

  • I'd repopulate with her

  • fuck food storage, when SHTF I plan on eating people.....rich people

  • @AllUnderOdinsBanner LMAO LOLOLOL XD

  • I am in love.

  • wow, in america people are busy open up their own wall mart. amazing.

  • you are amazing.

  • Wouldn't a vacuum sealed mason jar be the same thing but like wayy more easy to pack up ?

  • It's important to remember that canned goods that you buy from the super market now days do not have the long shelf life that canned goods used to have. There is no point for it now days, since you can just go to a store and pick up more food whenever you want. The cans are made differently. It's best to can your own food so that way you can purchase cans that will keep a longer shelf life.

  • Great videos indeed! A+++ May I ask you? Are you single? You are so beautiful and very smart too! A+++

  • yes i also can i marry you? :)

  • great vids keep up the prep!!!

  • @alizharsalim every time I go to the grocery store I buy two to four cans of food to be put away. And every time I go to SAMs I buy a bulk canned meat item. I don't have the money to go out and buy a year supply but I can afford a few cans a week. This is something everyone can do. I've been doing this for about 4 or 5 months and have collected a rather large supply of food

  • great info thank going to the LDS this weekend non member no renting fee's

  • she is obviously pregnant... duh. Our government does NOT have our best interests @ heart.. so, let us not looj @ religion right now, but the fact that this is a must need form of sustainability! duh!

  • What is the purpose of food storage especially in in developed countries such as the USA; If you guys understood a little more about the food supply you would never really worry about food shortage.

  • @aliazharsalim its a good thing to know, a depression can last years, and food may not be very affordable or a logical option for those who can grow and store their own.

  • @aliazharsalim I know a lot of people already having trouble affording groceries, who could greatly benefit from buying bulk supplies and canning them themselves. Just because a country is developed, doesn't mean that food supply chains are guaranteed... ask some of the poor who had to wait days and weeks for aid (which was still insufficient to their needs) after Katrina or even the recent tsunami in Japan.

  • @bluedragonlotus Well nothing is guaranteed in the world; personally food storage seems a little survivalistic too me. People who have both the room and money for elaborate food supply solutions probably will never really need to go on aid. I know food supply is meant to be a kind of insurance but are the members who practice this, so risk adverse that the would not be able to cope with any fluctuation in their food supply.

  • I'd like to know the make and model number of the canner.

  • II would so let you have my baby, then we could raise him/ her in a post apocalyptic world and propegate the species baby yea!

  • That'd be cool for making soup. Vegetables sometimes rocket down in price if they've bought too much. I paid about 10p for packs of premium vine tomatoes that were usually £2, so bought bags and bags of them and make the most awesome soup ever for a few pounds. But storing stews... they always test better if they're left to stand for a while for the flavour to come out.

  • Got some what I think are legit but may seem silly questions: Besides buying the actual products what are the costs to do all this? What if you are not Mormon, will Mormon churches still help you out? How long do you anticipate these products lasting if done yourself rather than ordering from some online site? Thank you and great vids.

  • Man; wish i had a woman like you or that the world was filled with women like you. Ur husband must be proud.

  • Wow I need to marry a woman like this...

  • @biggrex you?

  • So the hidden message in this video, is marry a blonde from Utah? WILL DO!

  • this chic rocks!!!! her husband is one lucky guy!

  • I agree with sain0777!! You are the perfect wife!! I wish my wife was a fraction of the women you are. Your husband is the luckiest man!! I have to do all the cooking and prepping in my house. I am Jealous!!

  • i'm filipino, i love long grain rice :) my fiance needs gluten-free products. so filipino food works just fine for my redhead :P

  • An informative video. Thanks!

  • Gold, Silver, Food Storage. I should move to Utah!

  • how long will something like the dry milk stay good sealed this way

  • beautiful job and beautiful attitude , it was a pleasure / very informative = thanks for your time.

  • I am in love.

  • Great information on canning. What surprises me most is that most "preppers" don't understand nutrition. Most of companies that make the products and foods don't either. Calories are not everything and most of the prepped food is processed. Processed food = sickness. Moreover, dairy is not healthy at all and even worse if it is powdered or processed in anyway.

  • @BlueEagle8 very true. The products at this site seem to be a little ore nutritionally sound .4longevity.myefoods.com. There are no chemicals or msg. and you can even get vegetarian foods there.

  • Thank you so much!

I am in the Navy and me and my family converted to LDS in 2007.

Every time we tried to go to the cannery I ended up going to sea or my wife was in school. We checked out a canner and canned for the first time today and my daughters and I had a really fun time!!! Your videos are awsome, thanks again!!!

  • This is the perfect wife.

  • excellent presentation.

  • So you have to can the milk to store it? Can you store it any other way?

  • Thank you, very well done.

  • @44256 It's called an apron. It keeps clothes clean

  • so what is the Mormon stance on firearms and self defense? because if I were a hungry apocalypse survivor your house would be a good first stop.

  • Growing up there were two Morman families in the neighborhood, I thought it was so weird that they stored food. Now I think it's genius

  • Dang...She's sure is pretty. I bet she hates it that we all notice that first.

  • @marioaleal doubt it she is probably flattered. It is hard not to notice it first really... because you have to watch a few minutes of a couple vids to realize she is fairly pragmatic and ingenuitive. My girl is hot but not useless like a lot of bimbos. Its good to have a women who can handle shit but it never hurts when they are easy on the eyes.

  • Where do you get a bag of dry milk like yours? Thanks. I just paid a ton for 6 gal buckets of the stuff.

  • @tesskansas You can buy it at the LDS cannery, same place you get the canner. You can, of course, buy the caned product from the cannery also.

  • Hi question , We live in Germany and was wondering if LDS does that here also , I am out of the srevice so i have to do everything on the economy, Thanks great helpful videos

  • 5 mins why dont those oxygen packets come in sets of one? kinda sucks having to open a big bag of those and have 5 mins to seal

  • the mormons have been prepared for a loong time! thank you for sharing this info - just bought my first round of wheat flour, pinto beans, oil, and brown rice. food prices are on the rise here in hawaii, mahalo. KD

  • if i go there can i find someone like you there? maybe to find a beautiful crazy chick

  • i have looked and thers no places in the area we live is ther a site that i can go to

  • The LDS has some of THE BEST food storage guides, but what is the link between food storage and Mormons? Is it just a home economics thing OR an apocalypse thing? Just curious.

Do you guys source water or have water preservation suggestions?

  • @TheBrotherMo I will be honest i don't like LDS! HOWEVER! When The SHTF They will survive! I am not talking about the return of the lord i am talking about Economic collapse, Bio Nuclear Chemical terrorism, Or Just a Big Earthquake. It is sound advice to be Prepped for stuff like this These days. I have a E-Pack in my car and most of it i learned from the Survivalist. And to think before 9-11 I could not cared less.

  • @TheBrotherMo It's been preached since the 1800's, since Brigham Young's time. It's always a good idea to be prepared for emergencies. Or the Second Comming.

  • I wanted to get a tour and make a video of the LDS cannery. I can't get a straight answer from my former Bishop uncle. He kept saying that they need help all the time. I want to work if I dont get food and video in return. I told him I have money. He said I cant buy its for the poor. Remember us non lds will pay and when we get our food storage thats just one less zombie out on the streets to have to deal with later. But my uncle is a stand up guy. he will give us some of his food storage imsure

  • @mrmilleniumproof I went, I am not Mormon and we got alot of food. They will let you use the cannery

  • @savgal1211 Coll I'll try it. I notice the atlas shrugged on your profile. I read that once, once.

  • @mrmilleniumproof Man, I read it the first time 7 yrs ago and I re read it last summer, I love punishment!!

  • @savgal1211 I tried about that long ago too. I have thought about re reading it. Between people my friends talking to me at starbucks and while I was trying to read it. The book took about 9 months to go through. Know whats funny. Some say they read it. Then when you talk to them about it they draw a blank. I wonder if people just skim it and say they read it. Its the kind of book if I miss one thing it throws the whole thing off. Pretty much whats happening today. with the jobs going to china.

  • Every time a question popped into my head you answered it lol great video thanks =-)

  • Rather than canning one gallon cans with a special machine, why not vacuum-seal the food in mason jars? The jars are reusable, smaller and easier to get.

  • @KenC39 Cheaper, will not shatter, lighter. They store food for 20-30 years.

  • Very helpful and well presented info. If the you know what really does hit the fan, I'm happy to know that the people of post tribulation are going to be as beautiful as you are...=D

  • You are very beautiful.

  • Thanks for all the helpful videos - not a mormon/LDS, but definitely like the prepping! Quick question, though - I typically just ziploc or vacuum seal pasta and such, but I toss the packs in the freezer overnight to kill any bugs that might be in it from the big box store, since a few times I've found bugs crawling around in my pasta when I went to use it - do the O2 absorber packs take care of that, or do you freeze your product before canning?

    Thanks again!

  • Can non-LDS folks go to the cannery?

  • @WindingtheSkein probably.

  • I actually called the one nearest me and they said non-LDS are not allowed unless they come as a guest of an LDS member. Too bad.

  • @WindingtheSkein All you have to do is ask your neighbor some questions next time he is getting the paper. "Hey Rick...do you ever go to the cannery?" He may say "No", then just ask him if he knows someone who does...easy.

  • @WindingtheSkein My Spouse and I got to go to one in Virginia and in Florida. We are not Mormons.. WE got 15 cases of food. TRy calling again, or drive to anothe rlocation. We went 2 months ago. Good luck!

  • Great information, and very well presented! Could also use vacuume storage bags for smaller quantities...

  • If there is one thing I've heard the most about LDS, it is that you all are very good at prepping. Thanks for the vid.

  • Can you pack dry things into smaller cans like store bought size, insted of those huge cans????!

  • @DeadApp No, one size only, #10cans. You can seal things in mylar bags and make those any size.

  • Go Philippines! Where/when did he serve?

  • lsd canner, gotcha.. can't wait to get high

  • Well done video. Thx for sharing.

  • wow I should have been nicer to the church of latte day saints when they canvassed my street ... what a beautiful woman.

  • do all mormons have a canner? do they all have nuclear masks too? what else to they have?

  • @ezrhino100 :-P Funny...I actually bought 3 NBC full faced masks last week! :-D

  • @ezrhino100 Don't ask, and we won't tell ;-)

  • nice looking lady, much better to watch than the MEN on this subject

  • Great instruction. Thank you for taking the time to do this. you are a very kind person.

  • what songs are those in the beginning? my 2 year old loves them...

your eyes are so pretty too!

  • Nice video. I have a question: Does the LDS offer these services to non-LDS members? My best Bro is LSD so maybe he can help but I figured I'd ask.

  • thanks for the info on the state canner and home preparedness tips. I live on the east coast so i'm sure that there are no LDS canneries near me.

    Great video, thanks

  • okay, so i have a question. i live near St. Lois MO and called my local LDS cannery, they will not let me buy nor can there because i am not a member of the LDS, do you have any suggestions...i really like a lot of your ideas, and would love to implement some of this into my food storage..

    thank you and God bless

    Brother Robert Ayres

  • @ayres390 - They let me can but not buy the canned goods except what was on the shelf already canned. This was due to not having my list of goods I wanted in on time. You can buy from the Bishops Storehouse! Just go to providentliving. dot org and look for their food storage link and pdf file. Have it filled out, walk in during operating hours and hand them the form with the exact cash. Be respectful and ask them about borrowing the canning machine when you go in.

  • @ayres390 Google "Provident Pantry" or "Emergency Essentials". I buy all my canned storage foods from them. Their prices and shipping is the best I've found. You can get #10 cans or super pails. I could be wrong but they may be part of the LDS.

  • My Hubby likes the Japanese Rice and doesn't like the long grain white rice at all, but I keep that on hand too, cause I can always mix it with the dog food. Where did you buy your big bag of Milk??

  • where did you get that big bag of milk?

  • @Pippie2010va You can buy it at the LDS cannery, same place you get the canner. You can, of course, buy the caned product from the cannery also.

  • boo sticky rice at costco is weak

  • @graffnameseed but it would probably taste pretty good if you were starving to death ;-D

  • @brandon9271 that applies to everything tho if you were starving to death

  • @graffnameseed True.. even if bugs got into the rice.. Mmm.. extra protein! ;)

  • @brandon9271 ill eat insects even if i wasnt starving

  • HELP!!!! I cant find one in southern california!!

    CAN ANY ONE HELP US?????

    LDS cannery that is

  • @QUESTED Look it up at: providentliving (dot) org. Click where it says "Locations" at the top, and select "Home Storage Centers".

  • @QUESTED Look it up at: providentliving (dot) org. Click where it says "Locations" at the top, and select "Home Storage Centers".

  • I stumled across your video and decided to locate the LDS Cannery local to me here in Northern Ca, I'm glad I did, I just bought 7 cases of food for under $180 would have cost me $1000 if I bought it through Mountain House. They never had a non-member before and were confused as to how I knew about the LDS Cannery, I told them I saw this video here on youtube..................

  • any chances there will be a video tour of a LDS cannerey so we can get an idea of what they are like?

  • What will the shelf life be if you can your own food???????????

  • @cheeple 20-30 years. The cooler the storage place, the longer the life.

  • love your canning. i am not sure canning is big in hawaii but we need it the most, food comes from the states, shipped in.

talking about rice in the last few year it went from 6$ to $12 for a 20# bag, meaning i would have earned 100% on my money if i had bought rice 2 years ago.

    aloha

  • I am not Mormon, will they let me can my food or do you have to a member of the Church.

  • @37361811 Most of the time, yes. Call your local cannery to see what their rules are.

  • SO fine!

  • Excellent video. I am not a Mormon, but I am going to go to the cannery here in San Antonio this week and check it out.

  • question: how do you check the seal?

  • @rabidchevy Visual check.

  • Rice snob... ha ha ha!!! I think my Bishop is going to put me in preparedness in some capacity I am so excited!!! Great video for sure sister.

  • Without a doubt one of the top ten video's I've seen in awhile. I had no idea that this was an option for the general public. I vacume seal with oxygen absorbers as well seal in mylar bags. This however, opens another door for me.

    Thanks for this info.

  • Enjoyed watching the video...THANKS

  • Very valuable information! Thanks for taking the time to teach people how to prepare for the future..... Unsettling times for sure.

  • we wondered why the oxygen packets got so hot! We are not Mormon but love having our food storage and are very impressed with all the preparedness information your chruch has and how is can benefit anyone

I guess that means we need to throw them away and buy more? We got 100 and used maybe 20 I dont think I could use 100 in 5 minutes ;)

  • @moroccantreasures You are right. The packeges getting hot means the chemical reaction that absorbs the oxigen is taking place. What you do is have a way to seal the bag up. While you are canning you can use something like a ziplock bag. What I've seen done in the cannery is they have those plastic potato chip bag sealers that look like a long plastic clamp that clamps the mouth of the bag shut. For long-term sealing of whatever packeges you have left you can use something like a Foodsaver.

  • what's the point of doing this?

  • @freestylee19 so you will never run out of milk or rice..............ever

  • Hello.

Where might I be able to find such equipment and supplies in the UK?

  • @user13467 Not avaliable in Europe, I'm affraid. But you can use mylar bags. The church sells the bags, sealer, and oxigen absorbers online.

  • Nice job. Thanks.

  • You can can DRY foods this way. Things that are dehydrated, freeze dried or are...well. DRY! THanks!

  • I'm glad I found your channel. I've been invited to a cannery next week and I had no idea what to expect. Your vid helps alot!

  • Thanks for the information. Can you can every type of food?

  • Latte-day Saint or Mormon

  • what is LDS??

  • Great video!

  • tell them I invited you ;)

  • You can go even if you're not LDS. Just give them a call.

  • Thank you for the information... I was wondering if you have to be a member of the LDS in order to visit a cannery?

  • From what I understand you can be invited by a member of the LDS.

  • Thank you! I know we have a cannery near me, but I don''t know anyone that is a member of the LDS.

  • Call them. Many canneries will allow anyone to can or to purchase already canned products. Look on the phone books under churches, LDS, cannery. Or swing by, most will be opened weekdays and Saturdays. The people there are very nice and helpful. Best of luck.

  • Love your vids! Thanks for sharing! I was going to make one just like this!
