I'm an audiophile and I only use Samsung & Cowon's music players cause they have the best sound quality unlike any Ipod on the market. I'd say that Apple's Ipod has other good features like wifi capabilities n all but their sound quality is terrible. Samsung players sound great after tweaking its EQ just like Cowon's players. But i feel that the Cowon players have better build quality than Samsung. Ive gone through 3 Samsung P2's and my Cowon D2 is still unbroken

i can say that ipods got everything about them EXCEPT a great way to listen to music...the quality is not up to par with all these other mp3 players out...i can say that i would buy a ipod touch only for all the features it got but i wouldnt want to buy it for the music aspect though...

I had this Mp3 player for over a year now and it works like it's brand new. I never had any software or hardware issues with it.

The software is as smooth as an Apple interface.

The hardware is also very smooth with a great aluminum finish.

I'm probably going to be stuck with my Samsung P3 for as long as it lasts :)

The best part is...its cost me less than $200.

For what it's worth I love my Ipod touch. I've got a 64gig version, so I have a shitload of music and movies, as well as a bunch of games. I've got mine jailbroken with ScummVM so I can play monkey island and dott on it. Also a whole crap load of comic books and, at night in winter, I can take my ipod to bed and stream videos from the computer that I've downloaded.

Look, I know it's "cool" to hate apple, but damn are they feature loaded.

@DanceElo I tried, I even emailed them asking if they would ship it to me and they said no, the only other option I have is a Zune HD and they don't have marketplace support here which is bullshit. I looked everyday for a very long time, probably two weeks and I came down to this, which I've wanted since it came out (I had the P2) and Cowon stuff (which is overpriced) the Zune HD and unfortunately the iPod Touch (I didn't want to have to buy 200 dollar headphones in order to have sound quality)

Have you considered buying a Cowon S9/J3, or buying the P3 from Ebay?

I plan on buying a Black P3 on Ebay noext month. I want a silver one, but they're slightly more expensive, and $5 is like, 1/3 of my monthly allowance lol.

This thing is a piece of shit....for 120 dollar I'd get an Archos 3. this thing is laggy as hell, and I'm wondering why the video is edited so much. This is better than the Ipod touch? Pssh. Face it, the ipod touch dominates the MP3 world. I'm not a huge fan of apple, but even the most hardcore Windows using dumbass knows Ipod = unmatched quality. Not even the Zune HD out performs the Ipod touch....

Any touch screen MP3 player over 140 dollars, is a piece of shit, might as well buy an Ipod.

Love the DNSe! The equalizer is great if you're really picky about the way you want to hear your music (which is me lol). I currently have a P3, but I'm thinking of switching out to a Zune HD. I dropped my Samsung P3 once and now the whole right side of the screen doesn't work. But overall, it's a good music player.

I have a few questions, since I consider buying this player.

1- Can you zoom in on pictures and move around "over" the picture while zoomed (like on the zune HD)

2- Does it remember where you stopped watching a video automatically? I.e. does it continue automatically at that point after power off or do you have to fast forward every time?

3- How good is the screen outside/direct sunlight?

4- If you put the screen on hold (to put it in your pocket), are the volume buttons then also unresponsive?

@Wyninka #4-you'll have to go to the settings icon, than go to display i believe? then choose hold option, and it'll let you choose the hold button to lock the buttons or just the screen. I just do the screen so i can change the volume as I want.

3 - the screen with any pmp will be a bit difficult to read in direct sunlight but for the most part it's one of the easiest screens to see in sunlight.

2 = not too sure.

1 - you can zoom in on pictures in your photo album. and move over it.

Just like my Omnia II phone, terrible UI (Touch Wiz), needs to be skinnable.

Samsung makes excellent stuff, but this player although looks nice, sounds great, the UI is terrible.
