The difference is with a katana you dont have to leave yourself open while you try so hard to cut things.

Any blunt sword can do this if you swing it like a gorilla.

Dont get me wrong. I love me some hand and a half swords. just saying that this really...kinda blows.

Great! I was never really impressed by the straw mat cutting with katanas but I'm rather impressed that it was done so well by a blunt bastard sword.
