I have a hard time grasping the concept of this video. Although it does make me laugh, simply because it's funny, even as a person who actually has been on Zoloft. Depression is not a national epidemic, but it does affect a lot of people. The issue is sorting through the "oh, my day sucked" and the people like Doug who actually has harmful issues (I think? Assuming it's real that he's shooting people.)

although pharmacuetical companies do overprice some medications by a LOT, the medicine/drugs the produce do save lives

You are correct in that pharmies charge way too much, and you are right that medicines do help people.

However, drugs do not help. They are completely unpredictable in their effects. For instance, every anti-depressant on the market CAUSES depression as a 'side effect'. Read the labels...

Haha, awesome. While I am on zoloft for depression, I actually am depressed, and it actually does hinder my life... They only spent like five seconds in the doctors office diagnosing me but I was diagnosed by my clinical therapist already and I have a family history so I don't care. Awesome video. Advertising medicines of any kind is dumb, I mean, srsly, do the doctors ask us, "and how many milligrams did they say to take?"

Pharmaceutical drugs have saved Millions, if not Billions of lives from the day the 1st ones were made. Biologists, Chemists around the world, are dedicating their entire lives to create drugs to combat illnesses of all sorts.

We'd be having huge plagues, sky rocketing infant mortality rates, and simple diseases that causes deaths when they don't need to!

Compare the Life expectancy of 3rd worlds, and ours. Then you'd see the importance of drugs.

I was part of a medical experiment in my youth, where they put all children in that facility, CHILDREN, with all sorts of problems, all on zoloft, clearly because of money reasons. That's just sooo wrong. Unfortunately all critic towards modern psychiatry seems to come from the scientology movement, which i don't agree with either.

Ive tkn zoloft for yrs now. It dsn't make me "happy" so 2 speak. I no longer have mood swings. My moods are consistent. I don't feel like crap for no reason. That is what depression is to me. I'm smart enough to see/know that I have a great life, family that loves me, and friends. Yet why do I physiologicaly feel like trash? Enter zoloft and voila I "feel" great. I feel normal. So take my words with a grain of salt.. A lot of ppl get anti deprsnts because doc is hoping it rewires yor persectives

I'm actually starting to take Zoloft for my newly diagnosed depression, but that's actually only part of why I have to take it, so I'm not sure that everyone who takes it is just because they're sad, and although I'm not saying that you believe it's everyone as some people definately do, sometimes it's needed as apparently it will help me form that thing in my brain that gives runners their high when they run, i can't remember the name but it starts with an A. Lol I'm so helpful. Funny video btw
